Rank #2: Finding the Feelings w/ Sarah Polanco
Sarah Polanco or Pola as I like to call her is an effervescent queen that I met through Encounter Church. Other than brief smiles and hellos we didn’t properly exchange words until a Tropical Fuck Storm gig at the Gov. From there our friendship grew into lawn mowing, endless cuddles and impulsive catch ups. Sarah has an infectious smile and is absolutely contagious with her cheeky nature. This makes us a perfect match as I love dark humor and edgy teasing hehe. From chili and lime corn chips to vulnerable Pisces tears I feel extremely privileged to have collided with Sarah within this chaotic universe. Don’t just take my word for Sarah’s beauty, LISTEN NOW and get a deeper insight! You will not regret it!

Rank #3: Beating the BULLIES w/ Caiden Crafts
🌈 C A I D E N C R A F T S 🌈
Caiden Crafts, Kazaran Krowe and even Caidos da Bassos as he is labeled in my phone is a long time friend of mine. We met way back in highschool as two confused teenagers trying our best to play footy in the football program. Unfortunately we mostly warmed the bench but this did give us a good excuse to get to know each other. Our friendship truly started to blossom when we started our highschool band with our mate Tosh. This band was called OCEANS. We filled our lunches in the pursuit of stadium gigs (supporting coldplay obviously) and writing shitty indie songs. This band went on to play the cranker every few weeks and even did a tour when we released our 1 and only EP ‘Home’. After years of being young and dumb and having zero idea how to manage a band we eventually got our shit together and reformed as Paper Sunsets. Our close and intimate broship started to truly take shape when we would spend long hours in the car on Tour listening to Architect albums, Dollops and Aunty Donna Podcasts. Other notable mentions go to the time we played an afternoon gig and then immediately got in the car and left for Melbourne chasing the Adelaide Crows to the grand final. Even though we got thrashed it was still one of the biggest most hyped weekends of my life. Another story I’d love to share was the time we had a spare night in melbourne as a band and Caiden and I went to a local gig meeting our now friends Wintermoon. We ended up blind drunk and crowd surfing. Caiden managed to save me as I passed out in a chair at some dude's house. ANYWAYS! Listen to this podcast now and get a deeper insight into the beautiful man that is Caiden. DISCLAIMER that this podcast was actually recorded some 5 months ago prior to my latest battle with depression. We have since both changed and grown in many ways so consider this a bit of a time travelling experience. HAPPY LISTENING

Rank #4: We ALL have low points! w/ Matt Ryan
This year has been tough. If there's one thing we can agree on right now in spite of all the division I'm certain it's that. Personally I've haven't been doing so well. I've never wished, considered and even planned my death more so than I have these past few months. It's been difficult to stay afloat when my coping mechanisms are to hide away from the world. But alas, I'm still here.
Here is a story about one of my low points. I hope you resonate with it!

Rank #6: Inclusive Veganism and Creativity as an Occupation w/ Bianca Ott
Bianca or the illuminating Plant Based Punx as I knew her by right until our actual interview 😂 is a bubbly, fun and charismatic individual with a passion for Veganism. Through my journeys into veganism I became aware of Bianca when her 'Horse Racing Sucks' stickers were circulating Instagram in the lead up to the infamous Melbourne Cup. I immediately inboxed her demanding her for a pin so I could shove it in the faces of the old ladies I was to serve the following day during our busy Melbourne Cup day service. Turns out she lives in Brisbane so this was unfortunately not viable. Since then I followed wholesome content closely and jumped at the opportunity to connect when she alluded to her interest in starting her own podcast. I had to have her on A Ray of Sunshine. And VICTORY to me 😘 as I was able to tee up an authentic conversation with Bianca a few weeks later. It was a more interesting conversation than usual due to Bianca's rural settlement we lost connection on zoom several times over. But we pushed on right up until Bianca had to leave immediately to pick up her mum from work. We reconvened a few days later for another conversation which made this my longest A Ray of Sunshine to date. To make this wonder conversation more digestible I have split the episodes into two parts. We covered a very wide range of topics such as inclusive Veganism, DIY mental health, understanding coping mechanisms and cancel culture. LISTEN NOW for the full experience!!!

Rank #7: Positive Masculinity and Riding the US to End MS w/ Shaun Hueston
Shaun Hueston is the simultaneously laid back and high energy drummer of Dilettantes. His warm and light hearted energy puts a smile on your face within seconds of being in his presence. I particularly admire his consistently grateful attitude to the world around him. It wouldn’t take much more than a frothy in the sunshine and a conversation with this glorious man for the gratitude to seep into your mindset as well. Shaun and I met when I performed with the beautiful Jettison for their ‘See Right Through Me’ EP launch at Jive. It was there I witnessed this vibrant human in action where his three piece band Dilettantes. They musically kicked me in the guts repeatedly with their wall of sound performance. Safe to say that I am hooked and you should definitely check out their track ‘Rabble’ on Spotify. They also organise a yearly mini festival at the Cranker called ‘Welcome to the Void’ which we should all keep an eye on as the musical world starts to rebuild itself. It’s always a pleasure to connect with a fellow musician on a personal level. However, my main attraction to Shaun was due to his involvement in the project ‘Ride the US to End MS’ . It's a truly wholesome project that I encourage everyone to follow. Hear more about the project in our conversation together! Additionally we touch on topics such as positive masculinity and happiness with friends. Listen now to discover the Ray of Sunshine that is Shaun Hueston!!!

Rank #8: Bad Bitch Battles w/ Indi Gage
🌈 Indi Evelyn Gage 🌈
Indi Gage or Intellectual Indi as she is labelled in my phone is one of those people who appear in your life and challenge you to your core. I was initially drawn to Indi by her big dick energy, unapologetic nature, and unique aesthetic online. Being the turbo human that I am I followed her and immediately messaged appreciating her vibe and hoping to connect. From what started as a simple compliment turned very quickly into a 6 hour zoom date exploring sex, trauma and number of other facinating topics. Her ambition, intellect and unapologetic energy makes Indi extremely attractive to me. We are very compatible and not just because our star signs say so. The raw insight into sex work that Indi has challenge me in is very eye opening and something that I encourage everyone to look into. Is the porn you are consuming ethical? Before Indi, I had never truly considered this for myself so I employ you to get informed and support sex workers in the way they deserve. During our lovely conversation we explore grief, counteracting whorephobia and thriving in chaos. LISTEN NOW to get a beautiful insight into the wonderful INDIVIDUAL that is Indi Gage. I also have homework for all of you.
LISTEN. TO. HOT. GIRLS. THEORY!!! Get educated from the theoretical perspective of two hot girls and become enlightened. I am a very big fan and I’m certain you will be also.

Rank #9: Accepting Change Through Loss w/ Dominic Ventra
🌈 D O M I N I C V E N T R A 🌈
Dominic Ventra or Dominico De Godo as he is labeled on my phone is a charming friend of mine with a laugh parallel to mine that puts you in a good mood instantly. We met all the way back in 2015 when our bands For Mellennia and Oceans played together at The Worlds End (Now known as The West Oak). It was our second ever gig and a ridiculously diverse lineup also featuring Larsen and Favour the Brave. As a young and naive indie band playing their second gig I WAS BLOWN AWAY by For Millennia. It was a super fun time and I loved seeing Dom rock out on the bass. Our friendship really took off when I became a regular at PAK wednesday at Rocket. Dom and I were cult attendees and rarely missed a midweek sesh. Moving forward PAK days were no longer and the For Millennia unfortunately decided to call it a day. This was an interesting time for our friendship as I started to see less and less of Dom. There was the occasional gig, party or facebook status saying that Dom was taking leave from socials for x amount of time but little did I know what he was truly contending with. It means the world to me that Dom found a way through the darkness and I was extremely humbled by Dom being the first individual to reach out and ask to be a part of A Ray of Sunshine. His story is very very interesting and I encourage everyone to listen to his story. Dom and I explore the topics of change, education and grief. Listen NOW to get a deeper insight into Dominic Ventra!!

Rank #10: A Vegan Garden Dream w/ Anji Greenwood
🌈 A N J I G R E E N W O O D 🌈
Anji Greenwood is my new friend from Brisbane who I am extremely privileged to have joined me on A Ray of Sunshine. She is the lead singer of the legendary rock team VOIID, a band that only recently came on my radar thanks to my wonderful friend Cahli Blakers of Teenage Joans. I was instantly captured by the band’s image, their catchy hooks and their progressive themes that stick it to the toxic masculinity of this world. Despite her edgy aesthetic, Anji is an extremely welcoming young human who was more than happy to share her cashew cheese recipes. Legit all I did was slide into her dms with the pure intention of connecting with another vegan band pal and next minute here we are doing a cute podcast together! During our wonderful conversation together we talked about her gardening vegan dream, substance abuse and her connection to her grandmother through Clowns. Now a message directed to Anji herself: GO CLIMB THAT TREE! To find out what the hell I am talking about you’ll have to listen to the podcast!
