Fun... Especially the radio search

While the mini-series story lacked the punch and scope of the book, I did like the casting of the actor that played Lee Harvey. The podcast is great! The melding of the book and show is fun to listen to. I really enjoy the "Radio" segment (AM and Old Time Radio shows are so much better than TV- you can exercise, bike, run and work with the radio- with TV - you sit). I read the book about 4 years ago so without the podcasts I would have struggled to figure out why I was confused or frustrated (I quit Under the Dome TV show without finishing one episode). I have 3 episodes to go of HULUs 10.22.63. I love the interviews (fav was the set decorator- she was so open and loved her job so much it caused me to yearn for a similar job. Thanks for the info and I hope you continue with another project- while I wait, I will seek out Quantum Leap- I was born on day JFK was elected, love time travel stories but, have never watched Quantum Leap. Ten-hut, Soldier Boy! It’s episode seven of 11.22.63!
November 1963 has arrived, but Jake’s mission to stop Oswald has never been more uncertain. Suffering from partial amnesia after the beatdown from his bookie, Jake can’t even remember who JFK is, much less Oswald. Nor can he remember what happened to Bill. Now it’s up to Sadie to help him piece together his memory and get things back on track. But can she do it in time?

In this episode of the 11.22.63 Podcast, hosts Skipper Martin and Christopher DeFilippis discuss the penultimate episode of the Hulu event series, reacting to the character fortunes and foibles leading up to the morning of the Kennedy assassination.
We also bring you an EXCLUSIVE interview with Nick Searcy, who portrays Deke Simmons in the series — Jodie High School principal and Jake’s erstwhile boss. Nick spoke with 11.22.63 Podcast host Christopher DeFilippis about playing Deke, his experiences working on 11.22.63, and his colorful career acting in too many film and television productions to list.
There are also the usual tangents, radio sightings and listener feedback.

On the fifth episode of Hulu’s 11.22.63 miniseries, we see if we can handle The Truth.
The attempted assassination of General Walker is at hand, the key event that will tell Jake if Oswald is acting alone. But the obdurate past has other plans for the time traveler. Jake’s carefully constructed life in Jodie is falling apart, and the situation with Sadie’s ex-husband Johnny has taken a deadly turn. This leaves Bill to monitor Oswald on his own — but is he getting too close?

On this podcast, hosts Skipper Martin and Christopher DeFilippis dive deep into this game-changing episode, discussing the screen adaptation of one of the novel’s most harrowing scenes, as well as the unexpected plot twists that are making the Hulu event series truly unique.
We also bring you an EXCLUSIVE interview with 11.22.63 crew member Jaclyn Shoub, who was the set decoration buyer for the series. Jaclyn speaks with Christopher DeFilippis about the role of a set decoration buyer on a film production, her approaches to building authentic imaginary worlds on screen, and what went into accurately recreating the early 60s era depicted on 11.22.63. There might be something in there about old radios as well….

On episode four of 11.22.63: An Event Podcast, hosts Skipper Martin and Christopher DeFilippis continue discussing Stephen King’s novel 11/22/63 in advance of the upcoming Hulu TV series.
The moment of truth has arrived! We follow Jake as he tracks Oswald right up to the day of the Kennedy assassination. But the obdurate past is thwarting Jake at every turn, as he and Sadie race against the clock to stop Oswald before he can take his fatal shot.
We dive deep into the roaring machinery of the past, examining King’s portrayal of Oswald and the other historical figures appearing in the book. Along the way we confront the Jimla, a mysterious Green Card Man and the bittersweet climax of Jake’s mission. Oh, how we dance!
