Episode 32: How We Approach Content Creation

First thing, we’re humbled by all the attention our podcast and social media have received since we started last year. We didn’t expect 60,000+ followers to hop on in such a short time, and it means a lot that y’all seem to really vibe with what we’re doing.  That stated, we think it’s now safe to say we’re on to something, and we’d like to share what’s helped us with anyone interested in becoming a content creator.  In this episode, we discuss our experience trying to make social media work for our businesses and share tips based on what has and hasn’t performed.  Connect with us: Instagram - @RealBusinessOwners Facebook - Facebook.com/RealBusinessOwners Easier Accounting - EasierAccounting.com

Episode 20: Screw Your Safety Net

Despite what you might assume, building a “safety cushion” of 5-10K just to have in case “something bad happens” is counterproductive for anyone looking to get into business. This is especially true if an unwillingness to part with this lump sum prevents you from taking advantage of a golden opportunity. You’re much more likely to succeed as an entrepreneur if you can light a fire under your ass, and the comfort of a safety net isn’t doing you any favors in that regard. As always, we don’t advocate being reckless with your money, but this episode covers in detail why we’re against clinging to a petty emergency fund. Other topics include proper money mindset and investment red flags. Connect with us: Instagram Facebook Easier Accounting

Today we invite you to join us on a 10-day challenge: 100% completion of six simple things designed to prime your day for success! We’ll be starting this challenge ourselves on Thursday, but don’t let it stop you if you’re hearing this a day, a week, or even years later! This episode goes into detail about the challenge, why we created it, and the intended purpose of each step. Below is a simplified breakdown. DO ALL THIS BEFORE GOING TO WORK Start your day with gratitude. Write down five things you’re grateful for and post them. Tag @RealBusinessOwners and use #PrimeYourDay so we can see it! Exercise. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just walk, run, or hit the gym for 45 minutes. Get that first win out of the way! Take a cold shower. There are so many benefits to this including increased alertness, improved circulation, and reduced stress! Listen to a podcast. Put good shit in your head!! Listen to something that will motivate or challenge you for 30 minutes. Consider doing this while you exercise to kill two birds with one stone! Eat a healthy breakfast. We’re leaving it up to you to define “healthy,” but be honest with yourself. Compliment someone. It feels good, keeps things positive, and costs you nothing. If you don’t have an opportunity before work, just make sure and take care of it in the AM! Follow and use #PrimeYourDay on Instagram to interact with the community. We wanted to create a challenge that anyone could do (with discipline), and honestly believe these are the fundamentals of setting up your day for success!
