The Wild Adventures Podcast

The Wild Adventures Podcast is all about sharing people's stories. Traditionally, myths, stories and legends were passed down from generation to generation around a camp fire. I have always been fascinated with the idea of collecting stories and sharing them with the world. Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone has someone that would benefit and be inspired by your story. This podcast is to show how everyone can find adventure in their life - because life in an of itself is an adventure. So this podcast is my camp fire. It's where I invite guests to share stories about themselves and their experiences - to pass on their stories to generations to come and to tribes all over the world. Welcome to my Wild Adventure. Welcome to the Wild Adventures camp fire.

Welcome to Wild Adventures

This is a rather random welcome to the beginning of a new thought concept with me. After days of figuring out what to say - I have settled for something rather simplistic but show's what you're in for! ---Music for this episode if thanks to: "Madam Snowflake Speaks" by Apoxode2019 - Licensed under Creative CommonsAttribution Noncommercial (3.0)

Martin Lowe: An unplanned trip up a Moroccan mountain

In the first episode of Wild Adventures you get to hear from my little brother, Martin Lowe. He is one of the most adventurous people I know. This episode mostly consists of him telling us about an ill-planned trip up a mountain in Morocco. A trip that even the experienced hikers were calling crazy. The last seven minutes or so are him advising me about how to end the podcast and my inability to stop laughing.---Intro and Outro song:Bumba Crossing by Kevin MacLeodLink: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/3462-bumba-crossing License: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Martyn Evans: the life of an expat and living a life that others find strange.

In this entertaining episode we speak with Martyn Evans. Martyn and I met at boarding school in 1997.. 23 years later we talk about how those experiences have contributed to who we are today and the mentality of an expat. What we see as 'normal' is often seen as extreme, strange, extravagant or just plain weird. *** Also take the chance to visit Kwacha Road and sign up for Martyn's creative updates. *** Book recommendations from the episode Don’t let’s go to the dogs tonight by Alexandra Fuller On foot through Africa by Ffyona Campbell South from Limpopo: Travels through South Africa by Dervla Murphy Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton The Bright Continent: Breaking Rules and Making Change in Modern Africa by Date Olopade Beasts of no nation by Uzodinma Iweala  *** Music Bumba Crossing by Kevin MacLeod Link: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/3462-bumba-crossing License: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
