#8 Charlie Thuillier - Founder of Oppo Brothers

In this episode, we spoke to Charlie Thuillier, Founder of delicious (but healthy!) ice cream brand, Oppo Brothers. It all started with a land kite surfing record attempt in Brazil. During the trip, whilst having to forage along coastlines for things to eat, Charlie and his brother Harry stumbled upon some amazingly delicious & nutritious food. Then came 'that' moment where they posed themselves the question: 'Why couldn’t all food be like that? What if you could indulge in sweet treats, without having loads of sugar and nasty additives?' 10 years later, Oppo is becoming a household name in the UK and beyond with its 'healthy ice cream'. Charlie & Harry are on a mission to create the world's best ice cream and won't stop until they taste better than regular full fat-full sugar ice cream; remain natural and low calorie; and are fully carbon neutral with significantly reduced impact on the planet. We spoke to Charlie about how they didn't take no for an answer when others told them they couldn't do it, how they feel about competitors and how its not just about making money when you start a business. #6 Matt Godfroy - Founder of Pikt

This episode we spoke to Matt Godfroy, founder of SunFresh Produce and their DTC fresh box brand, Pikt.  Pikt was born from Matt’s  frustration of a broken system; Matt wanted to see a platform designed for everyone and driven by choice with values far beyond the current providers. Matt formed a business called SunFresh Produce back in 2011, with the sole focus to source the best Organic Fruits and Vegetables locally and globally from his +25 years of knowledge. SunFresh Produce still supplies the leading UK supermarkets with organic fruits, vegetables and salads, but Matt knew with his team they could disrupt the system positively with a direct relationship. Doing right for everyone – from their 'rockstar' team, farmers and growers, to customers, everyone is treated with respect and valued. Pikt are proudly independent and family-owned making them unique in the fresh produce sector, as there are only a handful of businesses who are dedicated to Organic Fresh Produce and true specialists at what they do, all governed by their B-Corp and Soil Association certification. We spoke to Matt about all things fresh, including being a purpose led business and how they reacted to the pandemic as a relatively new business. #4 Ellie Webb - Founder of Caleño Drinks

Caleño was born out of personal frustration. Founder Ellie was on an alcohol-free night out with friends, getting down to some Latin funk. But something was bugging her. Why should not drinking mean not having fun? She felt uninspired by the alcohol-free drinks on offer and decided it was time to bring some joy to not drinking. Caleño first came to life in Ellie’s kitchen, but it was 5,000 miles later on a trip back to Colombia when she felt re-inspired by her Latin roots. Fuelled by that Latin positivity, Ellie set out to infuse the sun-drenched flavours of Colombia with her non-alcoholic spirits. The result? Caleño. Non-alcoholic spirits, for anyone, anytime, anywhere. We chatted to Ellie about her journey so far, what it's like being a female founder and the rapid rise of the no-and-low category.
