After practicing family medicine in his native Cameroon for a couple years, he migrated to the US for postgraduate training in anatomic and clinical pathology in 1992 at the DC General Hospital/Howard University Hospitals, then the Louisiana State University Hospital (Shreveport - Cytopathology) and finally at Indiana University (MCCO - Indianapolis - Forensic pathology). Dr Obenson also trained in perinatal pathology (Hôpital St Justine - Montreal). His love for Pathology started at an early stage in his life when he met and shadowed a Pathologist while in high school, after an eventful career day. Prior to beginning residency, he served as the Project Manager at the Jamaica Cancer Care &amp; Research Institute (JACCRI) and is a Research Associate at the Harvard/MGH Center on Genomics, Vulnerable Populations, and Health Disparities (CGVH). His work with JACCRI focused on the identification of health disparities associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer within the Caribbean and the improvement of regional cancer research and partnerships. Dr. Onyenekwu has held academic and administrative roles in tertiary academic and health institutions in Nigeria and South Africa. She currently is a third-year pathology resident at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) where she is actively involved in various research works. She is a clinical pathology enthusiast with interests in laboratory quality management and quality improvement. Outside of residency training, she serves as a co-editor of the MCW Pathology Twitter page. She loves to travel, try out new recipes and is actively involved in mentoring medical students and graduates applying for pathology residency. Dr. Onyenekwu is a future Transfusion Medicine fellow at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

In parallel with this, he has been heavily involved in pathology capacity building in many countries and, most notably, led the team that built an anatomic pathology laboratory in Rwanda and Haiti for advance cancer diagnostics. Before joining ASCP in 2016, Dr. Milner spent 11 years at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he taught pathology, microbiology, and infectious disease; was the primary lead for infectious disease consultations in AP/CP; and was the recipient of numerous research grants in the areas of malaria and HIV. Dr. Milner is the author of over 150 publications and has presented national and internationally on his work in more than 25 countries. One of the main goals is having you, the listener, be a fly on the wall and hear conversations that might not be had so openly and candidly Episode 0 acts as the prologue to this journey by telling the audience and the world about starting a podcast.Episode 1 with Dr. Nicole Jackson was my first ever interview and also quiet nervously a major foray into editing a podcast episode. Her passion and openness about diversity and her life journey taught me that we continually evolve especially during a time period where multiple pandemics are coming to lightI was so eager to continuing hearing stories and enjoyed the learning along! Episode 2 With Dr. Bettie Yeboah taught us that picking amazing twitter names can possibly help non pathologists gleam a portion of our multifaceted field.
