Rank #8: 4- Unschooling / Worldschooling / Homeschooling with 2 kids - Ashley Kim

Podcast cover
Read more

Ashley Kim is a home/un/worldschooling mother of two. She has a BS in biology, an MA in Environmental Education, and works as a life coach for moms with rage.

Homeschooling experience:

We started home/unschooling in November 2016 after moving from Nevada to Montana. My daughter was in 2nd grade in public school at the time and my son in preschool. However, I was an unschooler at heart and the move provided the right opportunity to change things up. Also, just before we moved I'd learned the term worldschooling and wanted to be able to do that someday. After several years of planning and with perhaps more blind faith than actual financial resources for full-time travel, this past Christmas Eve we left Montana (having sold all our stuff and rented out our house), drove across the country to Georgia for a quick visit with family, and then flew to the Dominican Republic on New Year's Eve to begin our worldschooling journey. However, in mid-March and due to the coronavirus, we returned to the US where we'll stay indefinitely, home/unschooling and hoping to return to worldschooling at some point as the pandemic allows.

Here are some of the resources she recommends:
