The guys discuss all the usual equipment and politics in the firearms community. The time this episode was recorded was at the very beginning of the travel ban when much was still unknown. The gun community doesn't have many podcasts to call their own, host CJ Boxrud aims to bring the firearms community their own podcast. The gun world is ruled by Instagram, and the 60 second limits, Empty Brass is for new shooters to be able to tune in, and listen to explanations from instructors on a variety of topics. Empty Brass is honored to welcome the captain of team Glock Shane Coley. Shane's journey began back at age 14 in 2005. Just 4 years in 2009 later Shane enlisted in the US Army to join the AMU(Army Marksmanship Unit), and completed his first deployment in 2012. Shane won his first USPSA nationals at the age of 21, only one other national champion was younger. Shane is known for more than just his shooting, but also his love for fitness and Olympic lifting. Shane really embodies the athlete, that it takes to be an elite practical shooter. In addition to his professional career, he also is active in helping Law Enforcement and Military improve their training. More importantly he has a mission to help these communities with struggles they may face. The 2nd amendment is publicly, and Shane weighs in on his thoughts on what can be done to help ensure these rights are not restricted any further, and how crucial intelligent conversation is in regards to the issue. In this emotional episode host CJ Boxrud talks with Nick Nunes a former Marine, and current Law Enforcement officer.  The guys talk about some of the hardships that come from the day to day grind while being a peace officer.  They also go over a recent OIS Nick was involved in, and some of the lessons learned.  One of the lessons was the idea of using a red dot system on a duty gun.  Nick was the first in his department to be authorized to use an RMR on duty, since then 2 more have chosen to do the same.  Nick and CJ are good friends and connected by most of the topics, and a mission to help other officers.
