It's #Reflection Friday a new series on the podcast where I reflect on the lessons learned and light bulb moments I had throughout the week. In this episode we talk about my new job, being confident, and bringing your whole self to the table. Being confident is not something that came natural to me. I've had moments where I was courageous and did things boldly, but, to be confident is to stand firm in who you are and where you are and not give a crap about other people's opinions. For me, confidence happens manually and I'm okay with that. Also, this new job has been testing my inner gangster, I explain how I am allowing myself to grieve my old job while being resilient in my job. 53. Bonus Episode: How My Sister Became My Bestfriend

Do you have space for me? I just need to vent for a second, because "one thing about me, if it's on my chest...Ima get it off of me." Since October 20th I have been dealing with a credit card company who took $1800 out of my account. This company stated they would refund the transaction within 7 business days, but they didn't. Now they are saying they have to send me a check, which takes 7-10 business days to process and 7-10 business days to arrive to me. So that's a 3 week wait for money that I could have received sooner had I gone through my bank, stopped the payment, and paid a $35 fee. I didn't know what I didn't know and I'm just a human processing her feelings about it all. Things seem to have taken a turn for the worse, or so it seems, because we know that ALL things work out for our good. I get into a lot more detail about why I feel disheartened and irritated so tune in and hear me out. Today I had my first "intake session" as a member of #NACA, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. "A non-profit organization that is committed to assisting economically disadvantaged individuals with becoming homeowners." I started this journey in March 2021, 7 months later we are standing strong and moving forward. It's been a long emotional journey more than it has been physical, which is why we get into how most journey's are 90% mental. How are you handling your mental health during seasons of waiting? Sis, it's hard. But, with the right support and healthy connections, anything is possible. I've made great strides in my financial journey of creating a life where I am financially safe, and this is coming from someone who, at one point, considered themselves to be the "broke friend".
