This talk is designed as a broad overview of what Social Media could do for Medicine.  Issues of liability are discussed as well as action items for how to get started and start participating in the discussion.  This talk was given at the UCSF-Fresno Visiting Professor Series on March 27, 2013.

Walkthrough and review of the Radiology 2.0 and Radiopaedia iPad apps and their potential role for medical student and resident education.  Overall, both are great free apps for students.  Both take on a case-based approach to learning - great for clinical correlation; however, this may not be ideal if one is trying to learn the basics of radiology.  Both apps have a lot of cases available, but since they are case-based, they aren't comprehensive radiology apps and should be used as supplementary materials.

Radiology 2.0 and Radiopaedia - Clinical App Review

Walkthrough and review of the Sylvius MR Atlas of the Human Brain on Modality Body and its potential role for medical student and resident education.  Overall, great atlas that covers basics of neuroanatomy through an MR window.  Useful applications for CT imaging as well as the relative anatomic locations are identical.  The Modality Body format allows for quizzing and self-assessment.  Great app!
