C4 Show Wednesday Edition: December 26th, 2018

On Wednesday's show, on first looked at the Democrats and the media's reaction to the GOP Tax Bill as it has now passed both the House and Senate is being sent to the President's desk to be signed.  We addressed several of their arguments, including Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley's statement that the passage of this bill is unacceptable and that those in the GOP have pulled off the 'heist' in America's history..  We took calls from listeners to get their reaction to the bill and how Governor Hogan reacted to legislation yesterday.  In the second hour, we had some fun by over analyzing a country classic, "Coward Of The County" and gave out our Blow Hard Of The Year Award.

On Tuesday's show, we began by examining the final Tax bill making its way through Congress.  Derek explained the procedures behind a vote of this nature, and how many in both houses will play politics to the bitter end.  We heard audio from the 'protest' from outside the chamber yesterday, where Nancy Pelosi failed to attend her own press conference.

On Monday's program, we began by discussing the in's and outs of the Republican Tax Bill that is set for a vote on Tuesday.  Derek gave his take on the bill and explain how it was effect Americans in the short and long term.  Next, we looked at a big story that was released by Politico about how the Obama Administration ended up assisting the terrorist group Hezbollah through their forcing of the passage of the Iran Nuclear deal.

DHS Monday Edition: December 18th, 2017

On Friday's show, we discussed the 'outrage' coming from the progressives on the repeal of new neutrality laws that were put in place during the Obama Administration in 2015.  We heard audio from Bernie Sanders and looked into several news stories that say this could be the end of the internet as we know it (It's not).  In the bottom of the hour, we were joined by the Washington Examiner's David Freddoso to discuss the net neutrality repeal and to get his thought on the tax bill making it's way through Congress (with a vote being step up for next week).  In the second hour, we discussed the eternal question we always visit this time of year- Is Die Hard a Christmas movie and what is the greatest Christmas movie of all time?

DHS Friday Edition: December 15th, 2017

On Thursday's show, we began our discussion addressing the breaking news that the FCC has ruled 3-2 to roll back net neutrality regulations but in place during the Obama Administration in 2015.  Derek did his best to explain the complicated topic and took us back to before 2015 when the internet was the Wild West (according to many in the media).  He gave his support for the ruling and what this will mean Internet service providers in the future.  In the second hour, we discussed the status of the tax bill with a vote looming and it could mean for the American people if it is passed by Christmas.

DHS Thursday Edition: December 14th, 2017

On Wednesday's program, we recapped the big news from Tuesday Night - The defeat of Alabama Judge Roy Moore by Doug Jones in a special run-off election to see who will take AG Jeff Sessions seat in the US Senate.  We discussed the circus around the election, and in the spite of the attention the mainstream media paid to this race, no one will know the players by the end of next week.  Derek gave his final thoughts on Roy Moore and discussed his lack of concession to Doug Jones.

DHS Wednesday Edition: December 13th, 2017

On Tuesday's show, we began by discussing election day in Alabama.  We looked at Roy Moore's arrival to the polls and a comment his wife made last night at a campaign rally that the internet is a buzz about.  Derek gave his thoughts on Moore's candidacy and explained how the democrats will fully turn their attacks on President Trump as soon as the election result is in.  We also discussed how many in the MSM are trying to draw equivalence between Moore and Trump and in an effort to take both men down.  In the second hour, we discussed the war of words between NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and President Trump as the Senator ratchets up her attempt to get the President to resign from office.

On Monday's show, we began by addressing the 'Fake News' that was circulated by CNN last Friday and the mainstream media was quick to run the story, rather than fact check it.  We heard the audio of CNN's original report and how it changed and became a non-story hours later.  Derek asked if this is the journalistic integrity that America has come to expect from the MSM, and explained they serve a vital job and need to right this ship before it's too late (and the public no longer trusts them).

DHS Friday Edition: October 20th, 2017

On Wednesday's show, we began by reflecting on President Trump's decision (and subsequent speech) to move the US embassy in Israel from the city of Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, effectively recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Middle-East nation.  Derek gave us the history of the region, and then explained that several US Presidents have hinted they would do this during their Presidency, to only put the decision to the next person to occupy the office.  Derek took calls from listeners and commented on the reaction of many media pundits that this will undoubtedly lead to conflict in the region.  In the second hour, we looked at the scheduled speech by US Senator Al Franken Thursday, as many are now predicting he will resign from office, a little over a week after saying he wouldn't do so.  We also looked at all the other sexual harassment scandals in the Washington currently, and how the media has chosen to cover each story.

On Friday's show, we began by looking at the scandal rocking Hollywood - the accusation that Producer Harvey Weinstein has paid off sexual harassment accusers for years while working in Hollywood.  We looked at the bombshell New York Times report and heard audio of celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom, who is now representing Weinstein.  In the bottom of the hour, The Week In Washington With the Washington Examiner's David Freddoso - we discussed the Las Vegas Shooting, President Trump's feud with the the mayor of San Juan Puerto Rico, and the Rex Tillerson 'moron' drama.  In the second hour, we took a in depth look into a podcast conducted by the Baltimore Sun's Dan Roddicks with Maryland Gubernatorial candidate Alec Ross.  We heard their discussion on illegal immigration in Maryland, President Trump, and Ross advocating using State Troopers to arrest ICE agents.  To wrap up the show, we took calls on Ross's comments and awarded our blowhard of the week.

DHS Friday Edition: October 6th, 2017

On Wednesday's program, we followed the breaking news that the NFL will now making a push to make sure every player will stand for the National Anthem for the games moving forward.  We spoke with listeners and asked where they stand on these protests and if they will ever return to the sport after the events since the beginning of the season.  Derek also gave his take on what the league could do to bring back viewership and attendance, with pressure mounting owners to do something before advertisers disappear.  In the second hour, we turned our attention to the on-going scandal involving Harvey Weinstein and his alleged sexual predator past.  We looked at the breaking news on the story including Jay-Z's interest in buying Weinstein's part of the Weinstein Company, and heard audio from NBC's Ronan Farrow on why the media pasted on running his story before the New Yorker picked it up on Monday.

On Friday's program, we focused on the breaking news from the White House - That the Trump administration is putting new sanctions on the country of Iran as they look to roll back much of the established agreements of the Iran Nuclear Deal President Obama put in place late in his second term.  Derek gave his reaction and we were joined by the Washington Examiner's David Freddoso to break down what this means for the United States relationship with the region moving forward.  In the second hour, we examined the latest news out of the Las Vegas and the Richard Paddock shooting as timelines continue to change.  To wrap up the show, we were joined by author and political commentator Lisa Dipasquale about her new book on the outrage class in America.

(Note:  This show was recorded prior to the resignation of Anthony Scaramucci as the White House Communications Director).  On Monday's program, we began by discussing the resignation of White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and his replacement - current DHS Secretary General John Kelly.  Derek gave his take and explained this may benefit the White house in the long run, though it currently reflects that chaos is plaguing the Trump Administration.  In the second hour we were joined by the Media Research Center's Dan Gainor to discuss a staffer for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz being invested for several crimes and why the media isn't telling you about it.  In the bottom of the hour, we were joined by Hollywood In Toto's Christian Toto to discuss Mandy Patinkin's exit for a Broadway play and the creators of Game Of Thrones news series for HBO.

DHS Monday Edition: July 31st, 2017

On Monday's program, we continued our coverage of the bombshell story from the New York Times that Hollywood power broker Harvey Weinstein has been exposed as a serial sexual predator and has now been fired from his role at the had of the Weinstein Company.  Derek gave the updates on the story from the weekend including that the NYT had been prepared to run a  story on this topic from as early as 2004 but the media organization decided against running the piece after pressure mounted from several outlets.  In the second hour, we looked at the big sports news of the weekend - the action Vice President Mike Pence took after witnessing San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts players protesting during the National Anthem before their NFL game Sunday.  We heard opinions from both sides of issue and asked who's at fault (if anyone), in this instance.  We also heard audio from $9er Eric Reid and heard his thoughts on the VP leaving prior to kick-off.

On Monday's show, we focused on the breaking news from over the weekend on the indictment of for Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and associate Rick Gates.  We gave listeners the facts of the story and examined how the media is choosing to spin the story.  Derek also explained how almost no one would come out scot-free if they were up against an investigation from the federal government.  Derek then asked what this has to do with the current administration, which much of the crimes occurring before the 2016 election.

On Tuesday's show, we began by discussing the breaking news that landed at the end of the show yesterday:  The removal of Anthony Scaramucci as White House Communications Director.  Derek gave his take on the move and how this could be a sign of things to come with no non-sense General John Kelly moving into his new role as White House Chief Of Staff.  Derek also discussed how this will effect the members of Trump's family who are known to advise the President, and if we'll know much more about how all this will work by the end of the month.  In the bottom of the hour, we heard audio of CNN's Fareed Zakaria explaining what he learned when researching how exactly President Trump won the 2016 election.  In second hour, we examined new news on the healthcare front in the UK and how this is only foreshadowing of things to come if democrats get their way in the US.  To wrap up the show, Derek gave his reaction to the White House press briefing where Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to a number of topics.

On Tuesday's show, we continued to focus on the scandal rocking Hollywood and beyond - the allegations against Film power broker Harvey Weinstein that he was and continues to be a sexual predator and had preyed on young women in the business for decades.  We continued to keep our audience up to date on the story as more revelations are being brought to light and several powerful women in Hollywood are speaking out, as well as former First Lady and Secretary Of state Hillary Clinton.  Next, we spoke with listeners about sexual harassment in the workplace, and the shift in culture that seemed to take place in the 1990's.

DHS Tuesday Edition: October 10th, 2017

On Friday's show, we began by covering the breaking news on the cases of alleged sexual harassment and sexual misconduct of Run-off Election winner Judge Roy Moore in Alabama and comedian Louis C.K..  Derek first gave his take on Moore and why he is politically at odds with the man, and if the allegations are true, then the man should set aside (but likely won't).  Derek also looked at many congress members response to questions on the matter and how they are giving typical politician answers.  Derek then gave his take on Louis C.K. and explained why he is inclined to believe the accusers in all of these cases.  In the bottom of the hour, we were joined by David Freddoso of the Washington Examiner for the Week In Washington where we discussed the accusations against Roy Moore, former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile's new book, and elections in Virginia and New Jersey Tuesday.  In the second hour, we first looked at how Baltimore City is now setting tax dollars aside to represent illegal immigrants in deportation cases as violence continues to rage throughout the city.  To wrap up the show, we looked at a Washington Post satire piece where they explored if Hillary Clinton had won the election last year instead of Donald Trump.

DHS Friday Edition: November 10th, 2017

On Mondays show, we began by discussing the breaking news from Sunday -  an armed man walking into a church in Sutherland Springs, TX and firing on the congregation.  We tackled the story from several angles including: the President's reaction while on his 12 day Asian tour, how the media chose to cover the story and the misinformation that was released Sunday, many in politics calling for stronger gun laws, and what we know now about the shooter's motivation.  Derek also gave his take and compared this shooting to the attack in New York City last Tuesday and how both are playing out in the political realm.  In the second hour, we looked at much of Donna Brazile's revelations about the DNC during the 2016 election and how the system and nomination was essentially rigged for Hillary Clinton.

DHS Monday Edition: November 6th, 2017

On Tuesday's program, we continued our discussion of the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, TX as more details have begun to surface.  We first looked at the two heroes of the story, who didn't know each other but were able to at least derail the shooter and stop him from harming others before he took his own life.  We also asked the question of what happened between the killer's time in the Air Force and the time he purchased the gun he used to carry out his attack (and why he was able to purchase the weapon in the first place).  We also looked how the media continues to demonize the NRA for the attack, even though the man who wounded the shooter was a former NRA instructor  In the second hour, we looked at a developing story out of Prince George's County where it has been discovered several grades have been changed throughout the school district and students who weren't even near having the requirements to graduate were allowed to do so.

On Friday's show, we began with the discussion of the trial of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who will not be jailed for the crime of desertion after being held by the Taliban for over 5 years.  Derek first gave his take on the ruling and asked if the judge who gave the ruling let his political bias sway his decision.  We then spoke with the Washington Examiner's David Freddoso on the matter, and asked if you analyze this ruling, desertion no longer has consequence.  In the second hour, we looked at the sexual harassment scandals shaking up Hollywood and politics.  To wrap up the show, we awarded our Blowhard of the Week.
