S9 Ep 17: JoJo
She was that voice we all knew, sung the songs that were always on the radio, her first support tour was for Usher and all at the age of 13. This week we talk to Boston born JoJo and hear her tough, frustrating and honest story about her dealings with the music industry that ended up with her not being able to be heard for years.Fast forward to 2020, she's won a Grammy, her current record was top of the R&B charts in the US and she's currently in lockdown with her mum. JoJo waxes lyrical about @dishoom, her penchant for drinking lemon mescal margaritas, tells mum about being in a ‘situationship’ and is basically a doll who we wished we could have had round for a curry in Clapham.Listen to her story, her struggle and her survival and fist pump at the end. XxPlease note: this episode contains discussion of disordered eatingSee acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S8 Ep 7: Haim
I want to be a Haim sister.Feel lucky enough to have known these sublime women for a while. We have written songs together, eaten sushi, drunk hot chocolate, swapped doctor's details, celebrated birthdays, apologised to firemen...basically, every time you're with a Haim, it's a damn good memorable time.We treat them to their first home cooked meal in Blighty (of course with Lennie's medicinal chicken soup and Matzoh balls) and talk about being paid in matzoh balls, grapes in fruit salad, Bewitched, family, tacos and mum auditions to be the fourth member. It's Haim Time!!Table Manners is produced by Alice WilliamsSee acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S8 Ep 11: Emilia Clarke
To close this series of Table Manners we decided to get an absolute Christmas cracker in, the Mother of ALLLL mothers, the Mother of Dragons! After hearing this lady was a fan of the podcast I swooped in like a baby dragon and coaxed her with the promise of chicken soup (her request!) and she even broke her gluten free policy to sample mum's matzoh balls. We talk to our dream girl about her dear late dad's passion for food, salad in a bag, boarding school meals and setting up her charity, 'Same You' with her mum after having 2 brain aneurysm in her twenties. What a treat to have the nation's sweetheart over for dins. Thanks so much for listening. We will be back in the new year. Mum and I just need a little 'Time Out' 🤣🤣🤣 xxxxSee acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S4 Ep 1: Nigella Lawson
Table Manners is back!! And what better way to start series 4 than with the ultimate kitchen goddess… Nigella Lawson. She has been top of our list since day one, so brace yourselves for mum and me melting over her. We talk midnight snacks, her being a fussy eater as a child (there’s hope for all our children), eating rice pudding for breakfast...and apart from her love of Vegemite, she can do no wrong. Table Manners is served! Enjoy! Produced by Alice Williams See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S3 Ep 2: My Dad Wrote A Porno
Alice, Jamie & James from My Dad Wrote a Porno... what a riot we had! I’m surprised we managed to record a podcast at all. This evening reminded me so much of the dinners we used to have at my mum's growing up - everyone howling with laughter and staying until the wee hours. So wee that mum left hours before we finished recording. If you’ve listened to MDWAP you’ll know what to expect: adult themes, sexual content and strong language. Basically all the good stuff.See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S9 Ep 13: John Legend
Zooming straight in from LA, this week John bloody Legend joins us on Table Manners. The EGOT winner (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony award winner...mum didn't know what that meant either) sat down to chat to us whilst eating his wife’s home cooked chicken soup and dumplings. John talks about being in charge of breakfast in the Legend/Teigen household, growing up in Ohio, stockpiling A1 sauce, being a pro chair dancer and we get to the bottom of the ‘eating chicken wings before a show’ situation! What a Legend...enjoy!See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

S8 Ep 2: Liam Payne
After showing mum that underwear pic, she couldn't hide her delight and enthusiasm at having our first ex One-Directioner at the Table Manners table. Although on a strict diet and fitness regime, Liam was a perfect guest enjoying what he could of the fantastic Beef and Mushroom pies we made him using a Waitrose & Partners recipe with their No. 1 range ingredients. We talk to him about dealing with fame, his terrible karaoke song choice, being a dad, finding love and happiness, tattoos and his favourite food being airport lounge calamari... Nothing was off the menu, even mother's filthy mouth, and we loved it! Liam Payne is served. XProduced by Alice WilliamsSee acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
