Alvin Irby is a former kindergarten teacher turned award-winning social entrepreneur, comedian, and author. He is founder and chief reading inspirer at Barbershop Books, a literacy program that creates child-friendly reading spaces in barbershops and provides early literacy training to barbers. His work connecting reading to male-centered spaces and involving men in boys’ early reading experiences earned him the National Book Foundation’s 2017 Innovations in Reading Prize. He has a hilarious children's book called Gross Greg and his new comedy album comes out Friday, August 10th.

Tracee Loren is a New York-based writer, TV host, and actress. She hosted and penned a very popular Internet show called TV Quickie with Nikki. Later, she worked as an on-air reporter for ESPN Mobile, covering major sporting events like the Super Bowl, Wimbledon, and MLB League Division Series. Tracee was previously commissioned by HBO to create a multi-platform campaign for its’ digital on demand service HBOGo. The campaign featured QueenSugar’s Rutina Wesley and The Wire’s Michael K. Seaton Smith is a NYC based comedian, actor, writer and director. Jon Laster is a heralded New York City based comedian. Tina Fakhrid-Deen is a playwright, author, LGBTQ family activist, and professor whose writing and research interests include critical race and feminist theory, hip-hop culture, and urban education. Tina is the author of Let’s Get This Straight: The Ultimate Handbook for Youth with LGBTQ Parents. Her play, Powerless Gods, was produced at Oakton Community College in spring 2018. Powerless Gods was a semi-finalist for the Bay Area Playwriting Festival (2019) and O’Neill Playwriting Conference (2016/2018). Tina’s second play, Dandelions, is being commissioned for Theater on the Lake: In the Works Program. Her third play, Pulled Punches, was developed through the Women’s Theatre Alliance of Chicago in 2019 and the world premiere of Pulled Punches is slated for April 2020 with MPAACT at the Greenhouse Theater. Tina is a VONA, Kimbilio and MacDowell Fellow.

Ankara Savone has been entertaining people with her quick wit and charismatic personality her entire life. In 2006 she attended the New York Film Academy for the 1 year intensive acting program. While studying at New York Film Academy, she was pulled into a comedic direction and began studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), studying improvisation. Through her desire to become a diverse performer and comedian, in 2014 Ankara made her stand up debut at the Broadway Comedy Club and since has performed at some of the top clubs in New York City such as the New York Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live, Broadway Comedy Club, and Caroline's on Broadway. In 2016 Ankara started a weekly podcast, "The Gone Girls", interviewing people from all walks of life which includes a cold read sketch segment. In 2017 "The Gone Girls" performed their first live show at Carolines on Broadway to a sold out audience of more than 300 people. She continued studying improvisation at the Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) in 2017 and is a member of two independent improv teams "Homeroom" and "The Jayne's", which were both accepted into 2018 ImprovFest. In 2019, she became a member of the house team, 6 foot baby; which performs weekly at The Pit. She is constantly creating fresh and unique content through various online outlets and comedic web series, which reaches hundreds of thousands of views. Ankara is a comedian by its purest form whether it's improv, stand up, podcasting, or creating original content; and continues to work with fellow performers who want to create laughter together.

Shauna Lane is a New York City actress and comedian known for her appearances on Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, MTV, Sirius XM and cohost of The Gone Girls podcast (Available for free on iTunes). Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian and actress who can  be seen in her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Epix's Unprotected Sets, a breakout performance on HBO’s All Def Comedy and has made appearances on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Arsenio, BET’s Comic View, and AXSTV’s Gotham Comedy Live! She starred in a web series titled Avant-Guardians,  hosted a new Netflix series and will see her soon as a series regular on the new Greg Daniel's half hour scripted comedy for Amazon Prime.

MeMe Simpson is a stand up comedian, writer, director, and host. She was an assistant writer on Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns. MeMe worked on various production work on music videos for hip-hop artists T.I., Jeezy and Lil’ Wayne among others. She has performed at The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The Comic Strip and the world famous Apollo Theater. MeMe also opened for or shared stages with Michael Blackson, Majah Hype, Mike Epps, D.L. Hughley, George Wallace, Royale Watkins, Corey Holcomb, After 7, and Damon Wayans. She has toured and wowed audiences in the United States, Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.

Harry Enten is a Senior Writer and Analyst for CNN Politics, where he specializes in data-driven journalism, covering politics with a focus on poll numbers and electoral trends.  Prior to joining CNN, Enten was a senior political writer at FiveThirtyEight. There he became known as 'FiveThirtyEight's 'Whiz Kid' for his sharp analysis of politics using polling data combined with demographics and history. He also previously worked at The Guardian. Enten graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in Government. He is a diehard Buffalo Bills fan from the Bronx, NY.

Her popular sketch comedy show AMERICAN CANDY has played the Comic Strip, Gotham Comedy Club, BAM Café as well as the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival. In January of 2018 Time Out Chicago listed them as one of the 5 sketch groups to watch. As a standup comedian, she taped her first half hour special last spring that will be on Amazon Prime this winter. And she’s proud to be a festival coordinator for 2020's Black Women in Comedy Festival.

Sarah Cooper is a comedian, speaker, and author of bestselling books "How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings" and "100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings". She did not mean to make her book titles rhyme. Sarah co-hosts monthly standup comedy show "You’re So Brave" in NYC and performs and speaks around the world. She built her comedy career in between working for companies like Yahoo! and Google, where she was fed free lunches and lots of material.

Judith Fiona Joseph, M.D., M.B.A, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, with additional expertise in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Family Therapy, in New York City.  Dr. Judith helps people from all stages of development including childhood, adolescence, and adulthood in a collaborative treatment to identify and achieve individual and family goals. Dr. Joseph is a clinical assistant professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center. She is a television consultant, career coach and a sport's therapist. Coleman Hughes is currently an undergraduate student in the department of philosophy at Columbia University. In June of 2019 Hughes testified before a U.S. House Judiciary subcommittee at a hearing on reparations for slavery. In addition to writing for Quillette, Hughes has contributed to publications including The Spectator, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Heterodox Academy blog.

Joyelle Nicole Johnson is a Brooklyn based stand up comedian, writer and actress. She can be seen on the final season of HBO’s Crashing and is currently the warm up comic for Hasan Minhaj’s Patriot Act on Netflix.  Joyelle made her network TV debut last year on Late Night with Seth Meyers and most recently wrote for the final season of Broad City. She has performed on Comedy Central’s digital series Comics to Watch, Wyatt Cenac’s Night Train for Seeso, Laff Tracks for TruTV as well as being a panelist for Refinery 29/Facebook Watch’s After After Party and MTV News.  Joyelle was selected for the 2018 FOX Comedy Showcase, was a finalist in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity Showcase and has performed at festivals like Sketchfest, Bonnaroo, The New York Comedy Festival and Bumbershoot. And while transitioning to the headliner that she is today she regularly features for Hannibal Buress and has opened for Dave Chappelle, Maria Bamford & Russell Peters. She also combines her dream of comedy and activism by touring with Daily Show creator Lizz Winstead’s Abortion Access Front.

Seaton Smith is a NYC based comedian, actor, writer and director. He’s travelled the world doing stand up and in 2014 he made his television debut on Fox’s “Mulaney” Since then he’s appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers”, Inside Amy Schumer, he is also a regular guest on Comedy Central’s Nightly Show. In 2017, Seaton had a blast making people uncomfortable when he made his first appearance on Conan. Vulture named him one of the 50 comedians you should know in 2015: " He’s bursting with energy in a way that sets him apart in an overcrowded stand-up scene. He can currently be seen on Comedy Central’s Alternatino.

Jon Laster is a heralded New York City based comedian. Recently featured in the New York Times, Rolling Stone magazine and on New York City’s hottest syndicated morning show ‘The Breakfast Club.’ Jon was the host of the famed 'Billion Dollar Show' at the world famous Comedy Cellar in New York City. He’s also fresh off a jet from injecting this years ESPY’s last years B.E.T. awards and Huff Po’s digital series with his writing prowess. His first feature film with Jon in the producers chair and playing the role of co-star just scorched the indie film circuit picking up 12 awards in 12 festivals and was just released on iTunes for the world to enjoy!.
