Whether you are getting paid to push deadly vaccines or whether you are disturbed to the point where you actually believe the lies - you are culpable for all the deadly illness vaccines are designed to cause because you’re an influencer. You gotta be a complete nincompoop to believe vaccines are “good” for anyone. You want vaccines - no one is stopping you but stop forcing your will on others!

There are a lot of podcasts out there, but few with a voice that I can listen to for this many years. I don't always agree with Thomas, but always feel that his views are well researched and thoughtfully presented. I started listening while living in the Middle East to drown out the blaring calls to prayer. Now I listen for the interviews and insight. Thomas has steadily improved as an interviewer but kept the casual and accessible style we loved when he was getting drunk and playing with his cat instead of reading his bible.

Podcast cover

Jamie and I embark on a Tulsi Gabbard deep dive! We've struggled trying to figure out what her deal is, and then the Hillary Clinton story blew up, so we figured it would be a great time to do a deep dive and try to answer the question of.... WTF. Is she an asset for Russia? Is she a secret Republican? Is she a progressive? Find out what we dug up!

Here are some key sources. I read a lot for this but many sources were redundant. The main two would be Jacobin and Daily Kos.

Thanks to Got Science? Podcast for supporting today's show! Listen and subscribe at gotsciencepodcast.org or in iTunes! It's another deep dive into Trump's alleged accomplishments. This one covers fascinating and wide-ranging territory including immigration, the wall, regulations, coal miners, and more! I really do try to be as fair as possible. There are some things we can give Trump a bit of credit for. There are also outright lies and cons as well as idiotic misunderstandings on the part of the r/The_Donald listmaker. Links: 11. Police killings in decline, executive order meaningless. 12. Redefining the wall, Deportation problems, Trump deportations. 13. Senate passes NCAA, NCAA above cap levels. 14. Lobbying ban waivers, more on that. 15. Cartels order is nothing. 16. Trump's coal spin, Trump's not bringing back coal jobs. 17. Carrier deal pointless, jobs numbers are fake!, nothing to do with Intel factory, softbank deal. 18. NATO speech upsets team, NATO increases pre-date Trump. 19. Trump scraps good regulations. The first portion of this show, as referenced at the end of last episode, is about Peter Boghossian finally showing himself to be a sexist asshole. I also respond to the argument I frequently see of "Stop infighting, stop calling out atheist leaders, it distracts from our movement!" I think I have a good counter to that. After that, it's some amazing and difficult voicemails! Really top notch calls. I love hearing from you guys and being challenged! I'm very pleased to be speaking to Michael Shermer this week, someone who has been more on the free speech war side of things, and someone who has said previously that liberals won't dialogue with him. ... and another great round of your voicemails! A website called thewrap.com unearthed some old blog posts by Cenk Uygur in which he wrote some alarmingly sexist things. He has since apologized and emphasized that he doesn't believe those things anymore. Here is their article and here's the biased Gateway Pundit Article. How ought we to evaluate something like this in the wake of the #metoo moment? I have a lot to say about that, and about the cynical, bad-faith attempts on the right to both claim #metoo is a witch hunt, but also to use it when it pleases them. I'm pleased to bring you Dan Arel, of danthropology.net, who is self-admittedly far, far left. While last week had me debating free speech with a more right-wing friendly Michael Shermer, this week I'll be debating from the other side. Dan, in my opinion, is quite extreme in his tweeting and online expression. I do not hide the fact that I disagree adamantly with a lot of what he has said, but I wanted to try to have a conversation because I imagined I might be a bit of a bridge since I agree with him that a lot of the atheist community is enabling the right while pretending not to. The resulting discussion I think was very productive and a must listen! Links: I found the Bill Maher thing, looks like from 2014 and then he changed his mind a year later.
