I love listening to both of them and I think they’re the best podcast that I’ve ever listened to. They’re #1 on my list. I also love the books that they recommend, because I also listen to audiobooks while I’m knitting. I hope they never stop creating their podcasts. 👏🤗!!!

If you want more information about the Mother Bear Project, please go here.  Don't have a pattern?  Please go here to order a pattern!  It will be sent via US mail with a very short turn-around time.  Our FO thread is here - please post a separate photo for each bear you make!  And thank you to our wonderful listeners and vendor friends for donating prizes for the KAL.

Prison’s not supposed to be a cakeride - but your knitting can! Heidi of Undead Yarn took up the challenge to create a colorway based on my slip of the tongue, and she’s giving away a skein of this beautiful fingering weight yarn!  The base in Vamphyri, Undead’s lovely 75% Merino/25% Nylon sock yarn with 462 yards per skein. To enter the drawing, please leave a comment on this thread telling us about a favorite colorway name you’ve seen or worked with, or a colorway name you’ve thought up yourself. The thread will close August 15, and we will draw for a winner in the next podcast.

Recorded October 10, 2015 at the CogKnitive Fiber Retreat in Tehachapi, CA.  A great time was had by all, of course – great job to GemmaDW and loretta1031 for organizing such a fun event!

Our Fall Sweater 2015 KAL will be running from September 15, 2015 to January 15, 2016.  Come and join us.  Knit or crochet an adult-size cardigan or pullover - any style, any weight yarn.

Tracie went many wonderful places, saw many wonderful things, ate many wonderful foods, and just all around had a wonderful time on her 15-day trip to France!  A few of the yarniest highlights…

Her yarn crawl with Barbara of Stitching Up Paris Needlecraft Tours was so much fun!  Barbara is a knitter and seamstress from New Zealand who puts what she’s learned from her 30 years living in Paris to take you to shop for whatever strikes your fancy: yarn, fabric, notions, etc.  She took Tracie to 8 yarn stores, finishing up with lunch here at L'Oisivethé, which doubles as a café.

On the night of September 30, Sacha Laurin’s Kombucha Couture collection showed at the Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris – including Tracie’s knit Kombucha dress:

The collection got lots of great feedback, and it was a thrilling night!

Tracie also got to meet Laurence (Rav name Lolacha), a listener and fellow podcaster!  They had a great afternoon talking over lunch about knitting, podcasting, learning languages, parenting and all sort of other things!  Laurence is the host of Maille Podcast.

Barb had information about knitting or crocheting Knitted Knockers:

1.  You must use the current patterns that are on the Knitted Knockers Website.  Please do not use the old patterns that had the opening on the side!  The opening should be in the back.

2.  Do not "cinch" or pull the knocker "closed" at the end.  The opening must remain open so the recipient can add or take out the polypill to fit properly.

3.  Please stuff with poly fill only!  Do not use yarn scraps, or quilt batting, etc.

4.  Please do not overstuff the knocker.
