Andy Blankenbuhler is joining me for the next three episodes. In part one Andy takes us back to some of the most important moments in his process of creating what we see on stage. He tells us about all-nighters, the moments it clicked, seeing the numbers and, in a moment I’ve waited years for, a step by step breakdown of Yorktown.

Rank #2: #88: #Lintoberfest with Lin-Manuel Miranda // Part One
Lin-Manuel Miranda came over to my apartment and we had so much fun that I have FIVE episodes for you! Welcome to #Lintoberfest, with my husband Michael Paul Smith joining me for these episodes. In Part One, I try to get over the fact that Lin is recording in my living room - spoiler! I don't! - But regardless, we tell the story of how Lin ended up on the podcast, details of the early days of Hamilton, why Lin is a Hamilton/Burr hybrid, and quote The West Wing a LOT. We also eat popcorn and drink the Spark Into a Flame cocktail, made especially for Lin and inspired by his Inwood, NYC roots. Stay tuned for four more episodes: two more with Lin and then the Lin B-Sides which will be outtakes, non-sequiturs, and commentary by me and Mike (you know Mike). And no, I'm still not over the fact that this happened! No chill whatsoever!

Rank #3: #171 // Rory O'Malley // Hamilton's King George III
Hello! A message from the King! (Get it? Because Rory O'Malley has been in both The Book of Mormon *and* Hamilton). Join me as I hang out with the kind, funny, warm, and super talented Rory O'Malley! Rory talks about what it's like to be a brand new father, he tells me his Hamilton story and his experience playing King George III on Broadway and the first national tour, and we bond over podcasting. Plus, we talk The Book of Mormon including sage advice about King George III from Andrew Rannells, what KGIII and Elder McKinley have in common, and Rory does one hell of a Josh Gad impression.

Over the last 210 years it has evolved into Graham Windham and this week we are proud to welcome President and CEO Jess Dannhauser to tell us all about Eliza's living legacy.

Rank #6: #116: We just assume that it happens // Part One
In an entirely unprecedented move, I had to record an Emergency Podcast System to put at the top of an already completed episode! Join me and my husband Mike as we play and discuss not only April's #Hamildrop, #FirstBurn, but Lin-Manuel Miranda's very first draft of Burn! We talked about the draft during #Lintoberfest and thanks to LMM's endless generosity and awesomeness, The Hamilcast is the only place you can hear this unreleased draft. Needless to say, we lost our minds and you will too. Enjoy!

Hamilton Broadway's Associate Company Manager Holli Campbell stopped by to drop alllllll the knowledge about how Hamilton runs smoothly, from Broadway to the growing number of companies. From what a company manager does to breaking down all the types of tickets and how to get them (yes!), Holli proves that you don't have to be on stage to be heavily involved in theatre.

Sir Alex Lacamoire is here! For THREE EPISODES! Get ready, you guys, your minds are about to be blown. Mike joins me for #JuLac and Alex was kind enough to bring an electric piano and play us ALL THE THINGS. In this first episode, Alex tells us all about The Schuyler Sisters, the song that went through the most changes. But he doesn't just tell us... he brought all the demos so we get to HEAR the evolution of the song. We also play a little game I like to call "In the style of..." and Alex plays his favorite Hamilton song in the style of Billy Joel, Rush, Fiona Apple, and Tori Amos. This episode is packed. We had the most fun ever and I hope you love it.

*This episode contains a brief conversation about bulimia and mental health around 17:00 and lasts roughly a minute and a half.*
Hamilton Broadway's Lexi Garcia is a gem and this episode is a front row seat to the bonding that happened between us during this recording. Lexi talks about her deep love for Betsy Struxness (Hamilton's original Woman 2/Bar Wench as Lexi calls her), Karla Garcia, Stephanie Klemons, and powerful women in general. Lexi also tells her story from not being able to afford the Hamiltome to seeing the show for the first time and then being cast in Hamilton on Broadway.
AND! Lexi shares a gorgeous story about a woman named Ruth (they sat next to each other the first time Lexi saw Hamilton) and I have to find her! Email me with any information because #FindRuth is in full swing!

Rank #11: #124: You simply must meet Thomas. Thomas! // Part One
That's Thomas as in KAIL. YES! TOMMY. KAIL. CAME. OVER. It was super fun and we are naturally at 1.5x speed. Tommy tells me all about the upcoming Hamilton exhibition in Chicago, opening this November, and how the job of a director changes (or doesn't) as a production evolves. We bond over It's a Wonderful Life, Tommy reminds cast members who are alums of The Hamilcast that he *does* hear the stories they tell, I teach him the correct names of Hamilton songs, and Tommy confirms that he is not in fact Alex Lacamoire. OR IS HE??? He's not, you guys, they just both have really fantastic hair.
Have I mentioned that Hamilton and In The Heights director and all around excellent human Thomas Kail hung out with me for a few hours? Because it still feels ridiculous.

Wallace Smith, Hamilton Broadway's Hercules Mulligan/James Madison is on the pod this and next week! In this episode Wallace tells me about coming to the Broadway company from the Chicago cast, how he first heard about Hamilton to begin with, and we give a lot of much deserved love to the badass teachers out there. Oh, and apparently there were three random gummi bears on the stage the night before he came over? I will never stop laughing about it. Enjoy!

In this episode, CJack gets real about some of his past bad behavior during the early days of In The Heights, his experience being in the original Broadway company of Hamilton, the moment he thought he chose the wrong career path, and the mutual love, respect, and admiration flowing between the members of the Lin's Cabinet. We go in on those #TequilaThoughts, with a torrential downpour as our soundtrack.
