I have been listening to this Podcast to help supplement some of my telework hrs for my job. But as soon as I heard one of your “guests” saying Trump supports were basically borderline retarded, you lost a listener. I know many don’t like our President, but that was just rude, distasteful, judgements, and just WRONG. Good riddance to you’re so called Podcast. PS..I would say the same if someone else was our president.

I love a good HR podcast and found this just via the podcast search. Each episode topic looks so good but the sound quality is absolutely terrible! Every. Single. Episode. It is painful to listen to because the audio quality is so distracting. I’ve tried listening a dozen times over the past three months and each time I’m reminded why I don’t regularly listen. I know good audio editing can take time and money, but what’s the point of putting together an hour-long show with great guests if no one can enjoy listening to it? Each one sounds like it is recorded in a car with all the background noise you would expect.

Rob Chestnut on How Smart Companies Can Lead an Ethical Revolution

Podcast cover
Read more
Michael will be talking with Rob Chesnut, author of Intentional Integrity: How Smart Companies Can Lead an Ethical Revolution, about to talk about ethics in a post-COVID workplace or integrity during times of crisis. Rob recently left his position as chief ethics officer of Airbnb but continues to consult in this area with Airbnb, eBay, Chegg, and others. Possible areas of discussion might be how integrity can guide decisions about:
How and when to bring people back into physical workspaces. People are nervous about the transmission of the disease in closed spaces, but you need to get people back to work. Is it ethical to bring them back to work if you can’t guarantee they won’t get sick? How can you draw on integrity and values to make and build support for these decisions. How to handle furloughed staff – this is a group that will need some TLC. They are going to have conflicted feelings about returning to work, their key duties may have been unfulfilled leaving a backlog of work, and they may feel like they are on tenuous ground or borrowed time, making them less vocal about their needs or reporting ethical issues for fear of rocking the boat.Whether your ethics code worked… You’ve been through fire – it’s a great time to evaluate how your integrity and ethics codes worked for your company. Did it make decisions easier? Harder? Did it provide the guidance you needed? It may be time for an integrity reboot, but where to get started?
How to support parents who have been juggling more than just work? How to manage remote workforces so they strive for integrity every day? What new ethical traps have come up beyond the Top 10 Rob identifies in the book? Who is responsible for ethics in a company – legal, HR, the CEO? And on.

Planning for a Safe Return to Work with Rebecca Ray, Conference Board

Podcast cover
Read more
Join Michael and Robin as we chat with Rebecca Ray, Executive Vice President, Human Capital of The Conference Board on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 1 PM ET to discuss developing a plan for returning to work from Covid-19.

As Human Resource leaders begin planning for the gradual reopening of the economy, they and their teams face a daunting task: creating a new workplace where employees can be both safe and effective. Achieving that will mean adjusting – and in many cases, upending – several processes in HR.

To help Human Resource leaders determine the various factors and suggested steps to take, The Conference Board has developed a planning tool that features three essential checklists. Each focuses on a different phase in the reset and recovery timeline: Assessment, Preparation, and Return. The planner and accompanying report are free to the public and can be used by both US and international Human Resource teams.

In the episode, we will discuss:
The assessment phase - how to get started The preparation phase - getting your plan readyThe return phase - getting real in the workplace

DriveThruHR with Jon Hyman
Join Michael and Robin as we speak with Jon Hyman, Master of workplace schadenfreude, Limiter of Employer Liability, Attorney, author of the Ohio Employer Law Blog, and Dad to two rock stars.  Our topic will be the virtual onslaught of new laws and legislation that has come out in the past 4 weeks in the age of the Corona virus.  We'll talk about who CARES and try to figure out who gives a FFCRA about all this stuff.  It's not a labor law webinar, it's a discussion to try to help point you in the right direction to help your employees right now.  We will also discuss really bad employers, blogging and what shows Jon is binge-watching right now when he's not reading the most recent several hundred-page piece of legislation coming out of Congress.
We will have open mic at the end of the show, so listen in for some great info and check in with us to say hello live Thursday night at 8 PM et 4/16/2020.

Disappointed

I have been listening to this Podcast to help supplement some of my telework hrs for my job. But as soon as I heard one of your “guests” saying Trump supports were basically borderline retarded, you lost a listener. I know many don’t like our President, but that was just rude, distasteful, judgements, and just WRONG. Good riddance to you’re so called Podcast. PS..I would say the same if someone else was our president.

Idea is Good - Execution Needs Work

I love a good HR podcast and found this just via the podcast search. Each episode topic looks so good but the sound quality is absolutely terrible! Every. Single. Episode. It is painful to listen to because the audio quality is so distracting. I’ve tried listening a dozen times over the past three months and each time I’m reminded why I don’t regularly listen. I know good audio editing can take time and money, but what’s the point of putting together an hour-long show with great guests if no one can enjoy listening to it? Each one sounds like it is recorded in a car with all the background noise you would expect.
