A brilliant podcast by some great people deep in TTRPGS

Always interesting and fun! There is usually something brilliant that will spark the imagination and help in your own TTRPG games. But also, just fascinating topics! You’ll definitely learn something and be entertained every episode!

Great for gamers, players, designers and storytellers

I'm late to the party, but hopefully there is much more to come. This is a brilliant show by two very clever guys. Both are game designers and writers and have crafted a fun show composed of (usually) 4 segments of 15 mins about gaming (and gaming-adjacent) topics. If you like gaming, want insider details on how to make and publish games, tips on how to solve GM issues, details on what movies are good "trope trainers" for genre, or just want to hear guidance on how to craft enjoyable and satisfying stories then Ken and Robin should be shoved into your ear-holes like that little worm thing from either Night Gallery or Star Trek 2. Player's choice. Enjoy!

First up, Ken and Robin enter the Gaming Hut to transcend their origins and discuss transhuman RPGs. How do we create inhuman characters human players can still portray?

In the Tradecraft Hut, we discuss the implications of the Obama administration’s war on leakers, and how to bring press revelations into your espionage gaming.

Robin then bows to popular demand with a Politics Hut Rob Ford update, this one covering the first thirteen days of the Toronto mayor’s crack video problems. (Warning: contents of scandal may have shifted our recording date.)

Finally Ken’s Time Machine revs up, with an account of how Ken altered our timeline to keep the 1928 Baltimore space program an amusing footnote, and not a historical catastrophe.

Summer convention season kicks off with a Travel Advisory on Ken’s trip to Origins.

Robin beckons you into the Cinema Hut to share his rare chance to see the first Wong Fei-Hung film, 1949’s The Whip That Smacks the Candle.

Having established a Tradecraft Hut, we are naturally behooved to mull the implications of the newly whistleblown PRISM program of the NSA.

We wrap with part 3 of our Consulting Occultist series on the Nazi occult, this time focusing in on Irminist prophet and Himmler advisor Karl-Maria Wiligut.

That periodic thumping sound you hear is Robin’s mic falling apart as we record. Apologies for any sonic disorientation this may cause.

The Gaming Hut shows up with its usual punctuality as Patreon backer Ken Ringwald asks to hear about time as a resource in RPGs.

It’s dark out. He has a full tank of gas. He’s wearing sunglasses. Patreon backer Chris Camfield drives his 1974 Ford Monaco sedan to Ask Ken and Robin about the occult significance of the Blues Brothers. And yes, Ken knows it was Martinez de Pasqually who sojourned in Saint-Domingue, not the other founder of Martinism, Saint-Martin. This was a test of your gnosis.

In Ken and/or Robin Talk To Someone Else, we chat with collector and industry stalwart Jim Kitchen about the Gen Con auction.

Finally Patreon backer embarks on an unknowing follow-up to last week’s live episode by asking how Ken’s Time Machine might preserve Habsburg rule in Spain.
