Also included is our interview with Ethan and Sue-Ni DiStefano, owners of Broad Street Books in New Jersey, and lovers of all things literature, art, and rock and roll related, especially a band called Pixies.

Frank has a new band!  Baptize yourself into the world of Frank Black and the Catholics, and bask in the warm fuzzy radiance of their live to two-track glory.  This episode covers everything concerning the eponymous debut 1998 album, from it's live to two-track demo recording session at the historic Sound City Studios, through disputes with their label American Recordings, and ending with the band finding a new sound, a new label, and a new rock and roll mantra.  Also included in this episode is an an interview with some of our favorite fellow Frank fans, all the way from Texas, Mike Flynn Jr. and his son Greg Flynn...although you'd swear they were brothers.  Join the congregation!

Episode 19 - How I Left The Cult Of Frank And Became A Catholic

It's that special time of year, where friends and family gather together to stuff themselves silly, and then think back on all the things in life to be grateful for.  Join us as we sit around and talk about things we're thankful for, as well as play music that in some way or another feels appropriate for this season.  You have to provide your own food though.

Witness the epic battle of personal music preference, as Hector, Dusty, and Kimball enter the ShuffleDome, armed only with their iPods, Playlists, sketchy Spotify accounts, and a bit of luck from the random shuffle Gods...  Cheer them on as songs from their own personal collections are picked at random, and then hold on tight as that song is judged by all participating.  Each song either getting a thumbs up, which is worth 1 point, a so-so vote worth 0 points , or a thumbs down worth -1 point.  Whoever ends up with the most points at the end of the Shuffledown will be crowned Shuffle Champion of Outstanding Music Taste.  Just hope and pray that those embarrassing, guilty pleasure songs you thought were safely hidden in your media storage devices aren't selected, forever threatening your music credibility! Continuing on with the b-side and rarities theme, we discuss what may be one of the most popular b-sides ever from The Beach Boys, as well as more non-album and special Peel Session tracks from Frank Black not featured on Oddballs.  Also included is discussion of a track from a band you may not know yet, Tram Cops.
