I started listening to Renegade Radio during the quarantine. I love the guests that Jay brings in to share their story. Ali Gilbert was great. I also like it when Jay answers listeners’ questions. Jay’s knowledge and ability to simply explain what can be complicated in the field of health and wellness is impressive. Just listening to Renegade Radio over the past few weeks has helped to improve my life. Thank you

Renegade radio has been such a great podcast to listen to when I need a pick me up or a little extra motivation to get to the gym after a long day at work. Jay does such a good job of owning his content while still being humble and curious. He tells you what he knows and nothing he doesn’t. Always honest and straight forward, love it. Also, I tried to look back and find an episode with Sarah Ballantyne and did not see one. If there isn’t one already, I think she would be a fantastic guest. I would love to hear what she has to say about Paleo AIP with Jay’s experience peppered in! Thanks!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard my brother, Kenny Johnson on the podcast.

In that time he lost 43 pounds of body-fat, got shredded and competed in a physique contest.

Like me, Kenny got his first visible 6-pack after his 40th birthday. That means there’s plenty of hope for everyone who thinks their best days are behind them. Not evenly remotely true.

Today Kenny and I are freestyling back and forth about:

  • His exact diet plan and how it progressed.
  • His training and cardio schedule.
  • The diets we’ve felt best on.
  • The difference between eating for health vs. physique vs. performance.
  • What I did to get 9.5 hours of sleep 3 nights in a row.
  • A secret way to improve your pressing.
  • Why I don’t allow people to “pick my brain.”
  • Rules for meeting a new dog.
  • White people and wild animals.
  • #GrammysSoWhite
  • Automation for porn?
  • The best rapper alive every year since ’79.

Big mistake.

Come mid January my anxiety and stress was bubbling over and nearly at an all time high.

I was in desperate need of a break.

In this episode my good friend, actor Jay Jablonski joins me for a candid discussion on what went wrong, how I caught it,  and how you can also unf*ck yourself.

  • The people I prejudge the most (hint: they’re just like me) [50:48].
  • Why you should travel alone just once [56:12].
  • Eliminating self doubt and focusing on what’s important to you [1:01:35].
  • How to define success and happiness [1:02:41].
  • Making a decision is not saying let’s think about it [1:08:03].

Thanks!
