Entertaining - Life of a Shepherd and a Fiber Artist

It’s not easy being a shepherd, especially in this day and age when, if one wants the fleece from one’s flock to avoid the $0.30/pound black hole of the wool pool, one must focus on breeding, jacketing, and a dozen other things. One of these “other things” is running around the country to various fiber fairs, setting up booths of yarn and roving in summer heat, deluges, wind, and freezing weather, and hoping enough will be sold to make one’s gas money and camping costs. Amy and Heather give the inside scoop on life from this other side of the fiber buyer/vendor equation.
