Longtime Listener But the Show Has Changed

By Orwell2611 - May 16 2020

Charlie does a ton of research, her details are great, narratives are well done. However, I am so tired of hearing her issue sweeping social commentary. A woman, a person of color, someone with addiction issues...they also make bad choices. I’m not a victim blamer by any means, I’m an assault survivor myself, but I believe in equity when it comes to decision making. It’s insulting to think that, just because of my gender or my color, I’m exempt from responsibility. No victim “deserves” terrible things, but we deserve the same treatment as male victims...or Caucasian victims. I’m also tired of hearing her weird rants against investigators, the American justice system, and journalists. I enjoyed In Sight because it was less biased and more straightforward than other, similar podcasts. I just wish Charlie would dial back this commentary, which has increased as of late. I’ve found myself listening less and less.

Very entertaining
