I and I With Alan Clark

In this episode, I focus on my track 'The North', which was initially recorded for a government agency that was promoting the North East. I talk about how it was one of the quickest pieces of music I wrote, my inspiration behind it, and how all three renditions of the track I have recorded differ from one another.  'The North' is the fourth single taken from my studio album Backstory, which is available for stream and download this Friday, 24th of September. 

In this episode, I focus on my new single 'Going Home', otherwise known as 'Local Hero', which was composed and produced by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, for the 1983 Scottish film Local Hero. I talk about how and where Mark and I recorded it, how it became the song for Newcastle United’s Football Club Anthem and how I (unsuccessfully) tried to knock it off that particular pedestal!
