Great legal insights

I’m no longer practicing, but I teach construction law and I really appreciate quality of legal advice, level of explanation and most importantly acknowledgement of business realities that not all attorneys provide. I think any contractors and subs, particularly those not large enough for in-house counsel or outside counsel to call on a regular basis would benefit from this podcast. Although it is specific to FL law, and contractors working outside of FL would need to confirm specifics the broad strokes would be beneficial to anyone engaged in construction in the US.

Amazing Podcast

Alex has a great way of turning a very boring topic into a highly entertaining show. MUST listen!

So you submitted a bid, congratulations!  Now all you have to do is sit back and wait to see if you got the job, right?  Nope, you need to follow up.

“Bid follow-up” is as critical to a solid bid and is what is going to allow you to win more work with the same number of bids.  The good folks at https://www.PlanHub.com/the-lien-zone are experts in the field and have some great advice, including:

  • Pricing strategies to consider in your bid;
  • Bid volume: how many bids a sub should submit each month?;
  • Bid follow up techniques for private versus public jobs; and
  • How to build better relationships with GCs to stand out on future bids.
