BMP208 Holly Worton ~ What to Do When You Have Nothing to Say

Today’s Guest I'm back again, with another solo episode! Today is a bit of an awkward topic: what to do when you have nothing to say. As you may imagine, this episode was born from the dilemma that I needed to come up with a topic for the show, but nothing really felt right! I had a list of ideas for topics, and I didn't want to do any of them. So I thought I'd just speak to the problem, because I know I'm not the only one who's ever experienced this. Listen to this episode What You'll Learn What to say when you feel like you have nothing to say How to avoid superficial marketing and creating crap just to put something out there How to tap into deeper ways of being visible Specific tools and techniques to find the words to describe what you're going through Clear ways of tapping into specific topics for your content Things I Discussed Instinctive Whole Brain Marketing  How to Get the Mindset You Need to Channel Your Guides  Cara Wilde's New Identity Masterclass  Business Intuition book  Connect With Holly Website Facebook Instagram Twitter Pinterest Google+ LinkedIn  How to Subscribe Click here to subscribe via iTunes Click here to subscribe via RSS Click here to subscribe via Stitcher Help Spread the Word If you enjoyed this episode, please head on over to iTunes and kindly leave us a rating and a review! 317 Holly Worton ~ Know Yourself: How to Answer the Question of “Where Am I Going?”

Today’s Guest I'm back again, with another solo episode! This is the third and final episode in a mini-series on what I call The Three Questions. I started two weeks ago with episode 315, where I helped you to answer the question “Who am I”? That's a massive question to answer, and I believe it's a life-long journey to self-knowledge. But we have to start somewhere, and I think it's probably best done in stages. Last week, we looked at “Where am I?”, which explores where we are in life...right now. This is all the stuff that's temporary, that expresses what's going on for us at a particular stage of our lives. These are the things that we can change, if we don't like them. We looked at our mindset stuff, which makes up a part of the answer to this question: our fears, blocks, and limiting beliefs. This is important stuff to dig up and look at so that we can answer the third question, which is the focus of this week's episode: “Where am I going?” Each question builds on the previous one. I hope you find this useful!   Listen To This Episode     What You'll Learn Why it's so important to know yourself + what you want in life The risks that come from avoiding taking a good look at this stuff Why it's so important for us to look at this stuff How to get clear on where you want to be headed Why this is an important part of planning the life that you want for yourself    Things I Discussed Where am I going? blog posts Where am I going? 246: Jo + Holly ~ How to Tell if You're Out of Alignment or Deep in Fear With Your Business

Today’s Guest I'm back with another co-hosted episode with the fabulous Jo Casey! Today's episode was inspired by a post that someone made in my Facebook group: “Hey Holly, I’ve been thinking about something just lately, and wondered if anyone has some thoughts about this? When you’re not making the progress you want in your business, how do you know if: You’re reluctant to move out of your comfort zone and step up (in which case, it may be worth pursuing, gently); or 2. What you want to do (or think you should do) is out of alignment with your values (in which case it should probably be abandoned)? Both these situations can feel like fear, reluctance, or lead to procrastination. How do you tell the difference if it feels ‘off’ but you’re not quite sure why? This is something I’d love to hear you and Jo discuss on the podcast!” Today, using me as an example, we talk about the difference between misalignment and fear. Some people can “solve” this dilemma using logic, but those of us who are more intuitive can really struggle with being in this type of situation. The differences are very subtle, and it's worth digging deeper into this topic to get clarity on what's exactly going on so we can know exactly what to do. About Jo Casey Jo Casey has over 20 years experience of working as a trainer and consultant in the corporate, public and third sectors. Her flashy clients and workplaces have included Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC), The NHS, BT, Toyota Motors, Peugeot Business School, The Welsh Assembly Government, The Girl Guides UK, Vets4Pets/Companion Care, several Local Government Authorities, and The Department Of Work And Pensions. But she's also worked with many no less wonderful smaller ventures, micro businesses and SMEs. She's a self-confessed nerd and has taught at college and university levels and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester. Jo has a Masters Degree in Coaching and Organizational Development and she's an NLP Master Practitioner, MBTI qualified professional certified Emotional Intelligence EQi 2.0 consultant. She's been coaching for over 15 years now – clocking up over 1000 hours of coaching experience. Basically, she carefully treads that line between being passionate and a tiny bit obsessive about what she does (obsession often wins). Jo runs accredited coach training programs and coaches people from all over the world via the power of the internet. Listen to this episode   What You’ll Learn How to determine whether you're experiencing fear or misalignment in your business How to tap into the feeling behind what's going on How I worked through the murky months in my business My journey from doubt to clarity on my business path How I identified the difference between fear and misalignment in my own business How to move forward even when you're not 100% clear The questions you need to ask yourself to get clear on whether or not you're in alignment How this fits in with the Why behind your business How to get clear on what type of fear you're experiencing + the questions you need to ask yourself The things you need to pay attention to when you're taking action Things We Discussed Cara Wilde Tara Mohr's blog post on fear Tanya Geisler How to Subscribe Click here to subscribe via iTunes Click here to subscribe via RSS Click here to subscribe via Stitcher Help Spread the Word If you enjoyed this episode, please head on over to iTunes and kindly leave us a rating and a review! In this episode, I share my story of being super quiet and shy for the vast majority of my life, and how I broke free from my quiet shell and got into using my voice to express myself through public speaking and podcasting. But of course, it's not all about me! I also discuss how YOU can get started speaking up, finding your voice, and using it.   Listen To This Episode     What You'll Learn Signs you might want to speak up more Reasons why we don't speak up enough When it's okay to not speak up Why knowing yourself makes it easier to speak up How to get started speaking up + finding your voice + using it   Quote I Mention “Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Today's Guest Cara Wilde is back on the podcast, and she's joining me for a co-hosted episode! Cara has been on the show three times before, on episodes 13, 116, and 302, but you've probably heard me talk about her many times, as I tend to bring up her name whenever I mention channeling. Today, we talk about how to connect with Nature spirits.   More About Cara Wilde Cara supports professional women who want to make a difference in the world but are feeling stalled in their authentic work and want to reclaim their Soul purpose with confidence. She helps healers, coaches and therapists at any stage of their professional lives who are looking to deepen their spiritual and professional development. Cara left her counselling and more mainstream work behind her when she couldn’t use her psychic abilities or work with guides and began to feel as though she was working blind. She set up her own business as an EFT practitioner, started to use her channeling and intuitive abilities and felt like she’d got the team on board and helped her clients in making more significant and longer lasting changes in their lives. As part of her work Cara channels a collective called The Ancients and offers practical guidance and support specific to the needs and concerns of those of us who are deeply sensitive and passionate about creating real change in the world. Cara passionately believes that those of us considered misfits are truly here to create a new way in the world and are part of the Divine’s blueprint for a Heaven on Earth. Cara lives in Cornwall, surrounded by the ocean and stone circles. 287 Holly Worton ~ How to Let Go of Worrying and Focus on What You Actually DO Want

Today’s Guest I'm back again, with another solo episode! This week, I talk about how to let go of worrying. I'm going to be honest here: I can be a worrier. I'm recording this episode in the week after my kickboxing winter course, which is the colder version of the summer course you may have heard about last July...except this time, I was grading, so the stakes were higher. I worried about all kinds of things: that the winter course would be more difficult than the summer course, that I wouldn't do well on my line work, that I wouldn't pass my grading. I did plenty of mindset work in the weeks and days running up to the winter course, and I practiced my line work every day at home. But I was often short tempered and difficult to be around because I had this low level worry running in the back of my mind. And then I got to the winter course, and it was just fine! Yes, it was challenging. Yes, my entire body aches...days after the course. But I did just fine. In fact, I actually enjoyed it. And best of all, I passed my grading and will be getting my brown/white belt in the new year! Listen To This Episode   What You'll Learn Why some worry is okay, and how it can actually be useful Why it's actually beneficial to give your worries attention What to do with your worries How to turn your worries around so you can get the outcome you actually want How to do both the mindset work and the practical action to transform your worries What to do when you're worried about things you have no control over Other ways to take care of yourself when you know you've been worried Things I Discussed Getting Things Done, David Allen Ask Your Guides, Sonia Choquette Connect With Holly Website Facebook Instagram Twitter Pinterest Google+ LinkedIn  How to Subscribe Click here to subscribe via iTunes Click here to subscribe via RSS Click here to subscribe via Stitcher Help Spread the Word If you enjoyed this episode, please head on over to iTunes and kindly leave us a rating and a review!
