I’ve been listening to Larry for 3 or 4 years now. I *always* learn something here, and I’m often challenged to take action in some area of my life. For this reason, I look forward to new episodes. His guest interviews are interesting, thought-provoking, and overall they help me become a better dad, husband, business owner, and man. Great stuff!! Thank you Larry!

I started listening to the podcast over a year ago - I don’t remember why - and it captured me right away. Larry genuinely cares about the betterment of men, he speaks openly of vulnerability and growth, and the guests are top notch. In December I joined the Alliance and the ride gets even better. As someone who needs to work on a number of areas I’ve found support, openness, and vulnerability with the men in this Alliance and it’s already made an impact in my life. Thank you, Larry. It all started with the podcast!

Brace yourself. This show is going to be like a punch in the face, but it's a punch in the face that we men need.

We are born warriors with big dreams for our lives, but many of us are getting beat down and overwhelmed. We suffer silently and alone, with no idea how or if we can break out to become the man we want to be.

In this explicit episode, I talk to Garrett J. White. He is the founder of Wake Up Warrior and Warrior Week. He is also the author of the upcoming Warrior Book. With his stripped-down, brutal delivery, Garrett tells us how to get past the lies we tell ourselves to break free from the person we used to be so that we can get out of our own way and finally step into our own greatness.

Rank #3: 4 Elements of a Legendary Marriage Part 1—The Individual

Podcast cover
Read more

50% of marriages end in divorce. Out of the half that stay together, 1/3 report being happy, 1/3 are “happy enough” and the other 1/3 are miserable. We actively plan our businesses, goals, and finances, but most of us keep our marriage on auto-pilot and expect it to maintain itself. Communication breaks down, resentment builds, and the love slowly dies.

We are dedicating this month to designing our relationships with our spouses. Lance Salazar from Legendary Couples is back on the show. He has just released The Miracle Morning for Legendary Couples, which he coauthored with Hal Elrod. He breaks down the 4 Elements of a Legendary Marriage for us:

  1. The Individual
  2. The Partnership
  3. Becoming Friends
  4. Becoming Lovers

Today, we talk about the first element—the individual. In order to be the best partners and parents, we have to work on ourselves first.

Staring Down the Wolf with former Navy SEAL Mark Divine

Podcast cover
Read more

Each day, we have a choice to do things the way we’ve always done them, or to stare down the wolf of fear until he backs off.

Even if we’re not a former Navy SEAL Commander like today’s guest, as fathers, we are the heads of our families. We need to learn how to operate like an elite leader for them, and more importantly, ourselves.

This means we need to be strong enough to face our insecurities, confront our shadows, admit where we’re wrong, adopt a learning mindset, and be willing to ask help.

We are truly honored to have ex-Navy SEAL, Mark Divine, on the show for his fourth time. Among his many accomplishments, he is the creator of SEALFIT and the author of Unbeatable Mind. His new book is Staring Down the Wolf: 7 Leadership Commitments That Forge Elite Teams.

Today Mark talks about how becoming an elite leader starts with a deep understanding of who we are and why we behave the way we do. He reveals that elite leadership is not about pretending we’re perfect and indestructible. It's about being honest about our weaknesses and failures.

Mark also teaches us how to get a team to commit to one cause and align communication on an intuitive level so that we can better our lives as well as generate a positive change in the world.

Podcast cover
Read more

Are you living as your true self? Or have you built your life around someone else’s idea of who you’re supposed to be? And if you feel like you’re living a lie, how can you drown out the noise of the world and march to the beat of your own drum?

Today we have an everyday dad and extraordinary person from the Dad Edge Alliance. Chris Lesso is the founder of Your Best Self Through Drumming and is an expert on optimizing the power of drumming to improve focus, confidence, and self-expression.

Through the metaphor of music, Chris explains how each of us has a different drum beat and how we can connect with our best selves by letting our voices be heard.

A great (safe) place for personal growth for men

I started listening to the podcast over a year ago - I don’t remember why - and it captured me right away. Larry genuinely cares about the betterment of men, he speaks openly of vulnerability and growth, and the guests are top notch. In December I joined the Alliance and the ride gets even better. As someone who needs to work on a number of areas I’ve found support, openness, and vulnerability with the men in this Alliance and it’s already made an impact in my life. Thank you, Larry. It all started with the podcast!
