I recently binged through the Blacklist until watching The Brockton College Killer live. After the major reveals in the last few episodes I decided I needed to rewatch and at the same time found this podcast. I started listening with The Brockton College Killer, but ended up going back to the episodes from the beginning. This podcast just keeps getting better. It’s awesome to listen to current theories, but even better to see just how right or how very wrong the guys were with their theories. I can’t wait for the Blacklist premiere, but I’m just as excited for new episodes of the podcast! I love your theories and insights! Keep up the good work!!!

Red and Dembe have a falling out, Liz tells Red about turning him in, and Dom tells Liz "THE STORY" of who Red IS! The question is, do we the audience believe it?

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile The Brockton College Killer & Rassvet

Hour one of this two part event treats us to The Brockton College Killer, a serial killer who stalks coeds. A man, Tobias Carlysle is on trial for his life, accused of the murders. A podcast, THAW, has been advocating for him on his behalf since he was arrested. Kimberly Owens is the host, and when another girl goes missing, Tobias is less likely a suspect. A professor is a major suspect since he has been accused of illicit affairs, but we learn, after Tobias is exonerated, and Kimberly and Tobias bump uglies, that it was Kimberly THE WHOLE TIME!

Meanwhile Liz and Dembe play some rochambeau to see who will tell Red the truth about how turned him in. Liz draws the short straw and Red seeks counsel from Katarina's father Dom. Dom explains he did what he did for Katarina out of Love.  In the end Red decides love and friendship are more important  with Dembe, except Dembe has a different plan.

In hour two Ressler comes clean to Liz about his quest for Katarina which leads Liz to Dom, her grandfather.  Dom and Liz catch up as he tells Liz the tale of the craziest but bold plan ever.  A tale about a friend of the family Ilya Koslov and how he allowed Katarina, who did survive Cape May, to remain dead all these years. It is an origin story of epic proportions, IF you can believe the old KGB operative.

Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: What happened to Katarina after "Reddington" re-emerged? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

Case Profile for Norman Devane

Dateline Season 6 Episode 3 - Spaulding Stark aka #124 The Pharmacist is apprehended and sent to Jail but not before delivering an experimental solution to our Red Reddington who seems to be suffering from some sort of illness. Fast forward to this week and Spaulding Stark is back and he is analyzing blood samples of Reddington’s collected by the non English urine and blood pusher Ernesto to see if the trial drug worked or not.

While we hang on that for a minute since this is the Blacklist, we meet an Obsessive Compulsive, Germophobe who is similar in nature to The Pharmacist. Experimenting on people to find the right serums to fix all that ails him. Or in this case MAY ail him in the future. His name is Norman Devane, and he likes needles. Turns out he hires a guy to hack The national diagnostics lab server farm to find 20 test subjects all with B- blood type, all young white males, and all with close to the same genetic mapping as himself. Using a former colleague of his (whose child was saved by Devane), he sets up shop at the Abbot Boarding School in Virginia, the same place where those 20 boys were enrolled.

Case Profile for Katarina Rostova

Katarina and Liz have a heart to heart about what really happened all those years ago in that motel room, and later at the inn in Belgrade. Liz hearing Katarina's plight decides to help her and her band of merry men escape from her coworkers and the rest of the DC area Police force. They bond just before being ripped apart again by the Townsend Directive, at least that's what Raymond thinks.

Meanwhile to help track down the mysterious woman from Paris, Red asks Ressler to spring former balcklister Dr. Bogdan Krilov to help them locate the man who took up his memory manipulation practices. The hope being that if they can find the man now acting in Krilov's stead, they will be able to find Ilya and most certainly Katarina Rostova.

Case Profile for Orion Relocation Services

Running out of time to get the information she needs Katarina uses her hired memory extraction man to dig into the past through Ilya's mind. We learn that the "Becoming Reddington" plan did not work as well as he had hoped. And a new plan was formed by Dom with Ilya's help to protect Masha once and for all. A plan to lure the KGB to Belgrade and convince them that Katarina Rostova was dead. Unfortunately for Dom and Ilya that scheme also did not go according to plan

Meanwhile Red and Liz are back working together and going to a fancy party to learn more about a client that recently contracted Orion Relocation Services. Red and Liz track down this jewel thief to find out who the next victim is. Even though they arrive to late to the victims house to get any info out of the Orion Relocation Services ring leader, they do get the files on over 700 cases that the team has to sift through. Liz gets lucky to have the stack with her nanny in it!

BLE146 - S7E8 - #162 The Hawaladar

Podcast cover
Read more

Katarina needs to transfer some money but she can't just walk into a bank. So she leverages a Hawaladar, an off book way of transferring money to other parties through an honor ledger system.

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile for The Hawaladar

The Hawaladar is a type of IOU service that criminals use to trade money without using banks so governments cannot trace it. Essentially the criminal gives the cash to a Hawaladar, who then gives another Hawaladar wherever the job is a green light to carry out the action. Red needs the task force to help him win over the Hawaladar, Bhavish Ratna, so he can get information on Orion Relocation Services, which will lead him to Ilya before anything awful happens to him.

Meanwhile Katarina has Ilya captured and is torturing him to get answers about Red and the Townsend Directive. She however is not the only one asking questions as Liz confronts Katarina about a picture Agnes drew about a dead person in the park. This leads Liz to do a little detective work of her own only to discover her nanny may not be all above board.

The women are tired of the men ruining their lives and their bodies this week so they fight back and give the men a taste of what it's like to truly be a woman.

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile for Hannah Hayes

Raped and then sent to jail, Hannah Hayes had to give birth to her child from her attacker while in prison. Well now she is out and sticking it to the man! Or is it sticking it in the man? She targets high profile men with conservative values in the hopes to change the narrative about a women's right to her body and life. She just goes about it in a way that is so invasive the men can never speak about it or risk ruining their lives.

Meanwhile Red is out camping and staking out Patrick Masada to hopefully pick up a lead on Katarina. She meanwhile is still planning nanny and this week takes Agnes to the park for some mud pies with a side of intel, the current location of one Ilya Koslov. Red and Katarina exchange words but not before Frank aka "The Stranger" aka bench guy, lands square in the sights of Katarina herself.

BLE144 - S7E6 - #130 Dr. Lewis Powell

Podcast cover

Artificial Intelligence is all the rage these days and everyone is trying to make theirs better than the competition. Now that competition is being targeted by one Dr. Lewis Powell, or are they?

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile for Dr. Lewis Powell

Dr. Lewis Powell, a leader in the field of artificial intelligence, created an AI so sophisticated that it was able to determine how to save humanity. The solution? Eradicate AI itself. This means that the scientists behind AI and any computer able to create AI must be eliminated, including Powell, who was killed by his own creation, an AI known as Clark.

Elsewhere we are introduced to the female version of Aram in Agent Park, a new member interviewing for a spot on the task force with a mysterious past that she won’t talk about it. Francesca is also interviewing for a job with Reddington in a classic blacklist rope-a-dope loyalty test. Aram continues his adventurous ways with his sex mistress, while Brimley returns to cook up both some sweets and some creeps in an episode that will definitely go down as one to remember in blacklist history.

Case Profile for Norman Devane

Dateline Season 6 Episode 3 - Spaulding Stark aka #124 The Pharmacist is apprehended and sent to Jail but not before delivering an experimental solution to our Red Reddington who seems to be suffering from some sort of illness. Maybe something similar to what Constantine Rostov suffered from?

With the help of the nurse, Red escapes Katarina and recovers only to be tracked to the one man Red doesn't want Katarina to find. As for Steinhil? Looks like he is a Ghost!

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile for Louis T. Steinhil

Louis T. Steinhil and Katarina Rostova share pleasantries over the exsanguination of our beloved Red. The nurse Mila now known as Francesca, ends up helping red escape only because she is a pawn in Katarina's greater plan. Track Red to Dom’s house. We learn about an incident in Belgrade that supposedly put a rift between Dom and Katarina - making the rear view window story less believable now since that doesn’t seem like it was the last time he saw her. Katarina storms the farm house injuring Dom, only to have her plan foiled by Liz and the team. Everyone survives barely as Dom 's life hangs in the balance with only Francesca left to save his life.

Elsewhere, Louis T. Steinhil is cleaning up loose ends at his criminal holding tank when the FBI find him and he kills himself. That is if you believe this illusion. As Aram goes to followup with the medical examiner about the deceased Steinhil it turns out the body never shows up at the examiners office. The pickup was called off by an agent named G. Host.

If you like Frankie are not going anywhere vote #RedTrapped or if you feel a soft pot as Red sits by Dom’s side vote #RedYours.

The Music of Louis T Steinhil

Case Profile for Louis T. Steinhil

Louis T. Steinhil is a man of illusions and Katarina Rostova has hired him to make Red think he is recovering from his encounter at the end of last season. Little does he know, Red is not one to fall for a trick. Katarina has taken Red to Annapolis in order to extract information from him on what he knows about Katarina Rostova and who might be looking for her.  Part one of this dance of former friends turned enemies does not disappoint, as the two come face to face only with Katarina getting the upper hand in part one.

Meanwhile Liz is on the hunt for a Nanny, while she also spills all of Red's deep dark secrets to the rest of the task force.  With Cooper and Aram now in the know that the original Raymond Reddington is dead, how will they continue to keep working with a man who is allegedly a Russian agent.

Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: How will Red escape from Katarina? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

Red's Rhetoric for Louis T. Steinhil

Welcome to Red’s Rhetoric that part of the show where we feature two great scenes from Red himself then you get to vote for your favorite in our online poll. Our first clip this week comes when Cooper (like the rest of the audience) tries to identify Red’s identity. Our second comes when Red talks about his symbiotic relationship with Katarina. Which was your favorite? If you ever had an injury scare vote #RedBlowFish or if you feel a close connection between Red and Katarina vote #RedSoul.

The Music of Louis T Steinhil

As Cooper hangs up with the Illusionist and the audience finally sees the trick at hand we hear "Scraper" by Liquid Liquid. As Red assaults Mila, we here "Tu Peux Bien" by Françoise Hardy playing on the radio to block out the observers in the other room. Finally, as Cooper and Liz have a heart to heart about Reddington on the stairs "Solid Ground" by Michael Kiwanuka plays and continues through the end of the episode. Insider note. This is almost a debut of the song as it is unreleased. It will eventually be on Spotify at a later date.

We then go through each character and if we felt their arcs were earned and left in a good place this season, plus we rank the seasons in order best to worst, then do it again for the finale eps themselves. Troy's is super interesting, but you have to listen for the goods. To close out the show we give our predictions for what to expect in Season 7 when it returns we predict September 27th at 8PM ET/PT, 7PM CT on NBC here in the states. Don't forget Jon Bokenkamp stops by next week to take questions from you so submit them in the comments below to be part of the show.

Robert Diaz In Pictures

Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week.

The Music of Robert Diaz

The Prom as well as the breakout plans and escape belong to Sofi Tukker a return favorite on The Blacklist. First we hear “Best Friend” featuring Nervo, The Kocks, and Alisa Ueno as Tadashi and Liz come up with the plan. Then the execution takes place to Sofi's song “Batshit”. Sometimes you may find the song listed as "That’s It (I’m Crazy)" due to censorship laws. During the gun battle after a surprise rescue by Red we hear “Mascaron” from Lissom. When President Diaz is taken down and Agnes comes home we hear “Nothing Sacred / All Things Wild” from Kevin Morby, and we wrap up with an oldie but a goodie as we get the big Katarina reveal to Cream’s “I Feel Free”.

Case Profile for Anna McMahon

Anna McMahon is in a race against time as well as the task force to uncover the missing dossier that lays out a plot against the United States of America. Through the magic of TV everyone has uncovered the dossier's location. It appears it will be a rather grim day for the Grimm family, as dad finds the drive and sends it to a friend to decrypt. This only gets the friends killed, the dad kidnapped, and Red so stressed out he needs to see a reflexologist.

Eventually the task force tracks down Mr. Grimm who had the dossier on him the whole time and uncover the strangest plot ever on The Blacklist to date. The President of the United States is going to assassinate the President of the United States?!?!?! Oh and the Task Force won't be able to do anything about it because Anna McMahon just arrested all of them except for Liz on one count of treason.

The climate is doomed and we need to turn into Homo Sophos in order to survive it! That's what Guillermo Rizal believes as he conducts genetic experiments on kids. KIDS! The creepy doctor paid an embryologist to switch out parents fertilized eggs with ones he genetically modified in order to kidnap them years later to conduct his experiments.

What does this have to do with The Blacklist? One word, family. Except that family is the people that fight for you no matter your biological relation. Like Red who is still fighting to save a country one that he is not tied to but still cares deeply about, much like his code. The kidnapper for hire, Cotton, has information on the Dossier that will foil Ana McMahon's plan and Red needs to get to it first.

Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: Will the task force ever find the Dossier? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

The Music of Guillermo Rizal

During the cold open as Corinne is abducted at the indoor mini golf place we hear the song “Wild Ones” by the Crystal Fighters. Then toward the end of the episode as Harold updates the team on the three girls we year “This Must Be The Place” from The Lumineers.

The Music of The Brockton College Killer & Rassvet

Jenny is about to become a popsicle thanks to a Killer Podcaster and some tunes from Ethan Burns with his song “King of Secrets”  Later in hour one as our jealous girl gets carted away by the cops we hear “Love Doesn’t Last To Long” from The Weepies. Hour Two treats us to some classic INXS with the smash hit “Never Tear Us Apart” question though. Is this an anthem for Katarina and Koslov, or Katarina and Masha? Then we close up the episode with Red questioning Dom to “Catastrophe Anthem” by Clark.

We're the kids in America, or at least the kids of the 1% and we are being kidnapped by The Third Estate! Red and the gang try to track down the latest in the clues about the plot against America.

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile The Third Estate

The Third estate may have once referred to the 99% of the French population looking to rise up against the wealthy 1% but this week on The Blacklist we are treated to something much more horrific. The Third estate is kidnapping the children of America's 1% in order to extort them for money too spread to the rest of the American population. Red and company believe that they are working for Anna McMahon, our late season baddie, but it turns out that Anna was one step ahead and sent the Task force on a wild goose chase. Which is exactly what the audience went on as well when you find out the Third estate wasn't kidnapping the children. The Third Estate was the children!

Elsewhere Ressler continues his quest to find the elusive Katarina Rostova, or at least her mother but instead finds a nice old man that reflects on his late wife's passing from cancer. As Ressler digs deeper he destroys the old man's memories of his former wife but not before getting a post office box that brings Ressler one step closer to the truth.

If you don’t compensate and do what you want vote #REDFlacid Or if you would have loved to seen Marie behind the wheel of a Mercedes vote #REDHistory.

The Music of The Third Estate

Only one song this week officially, although would love to get our hands on those driving jams. Anyway, as the kids are found out, Tyler is shot and and Des is taken out in handcuffs in front of his father we hear “The War” by SYML.

Lady Luck will erase all your gambling debt and get your family back on their feet as long as you place one final bet, on yourself. Literally. She takes on an associate of Red's who has information on the Third Estate.

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile Lady Luck

Lady Luck is really a mother who was down on her luck. While she was giving birth to her daughter, her husband went with their son to buy a scratch off ticket which netted them $87 million dollars. Except that on the way back to the hospital, the husband and son were in an accident which left the husband paralyzed and the son, dead. So she makes it her mission to take gamblers off the map, while also making sure their families are taken care of. Lady Luck goes after an associate of Red's that has infomration on the third estate so the chase is on to stop the execution of this criminal gambler so the task force can get more information on the plot against america.

Elswhere Ressler and MJ from the CIA talk about a woman now in her 80s that was a name on a ferry passenger manifest who move to chicago with her husband and four-legged friends. Turns out that this woman cold very well in fact be Katarina's Mother. Except Liz didn't want Ressler digging into things regarding Katarina so now Ressler has to follow up on this lead all on his own.

Lady Luck In Pictures

Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week.

The Music of Lady Luck

Well we know where the music budget went finally the last few episodes. First up as we meet Henry in Atlantic City we hear “My Diary” by 5 Alarm Music. Then as Henry attacks the woman in the tub we hear “Gamblin’ Man” by Lonnie Donegan. As Ned tries to off himself in his garage we hear “My Everything” by Eric Vasquez, Leslie Stevens, Kristen Agee, and Jeff O’Bannon. Then at the end of the episode as Red and Dembe look on from the wings of the stage we are treated to an Acapella version of "Every Breath You Take" from The Police. Fun fact that they had to get the rights from Sting and John Bissell actually worked with the choir for the track we hear in the show.

BLE130 - S6E15 - #115 Olivia Olson

Podcast cover
Read more

Olivia Olson is a corporate raider for criminals. She crushes the competition to profit from backing the next big criminal group. Except she currently backs Anna McMahon and Red is determined to find out why.

Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.

Case Profile Olivia Olson

Olivia Olson is a former Wall Street exec turned to a life of opportunity in crime after the collapse in 2008. Olivia looks to back certain nefarious or criminal masterminds that can make her more money by squashing the competition. Think corporate raider but for the criminals of the world. She is targeting a construction company that is having a fundraiser to raise money for Parkinsons. Interesting since we see Red shooting up and taking pills to control or do something to his body.

The real reason Olivia is on The Blacklist this week is because she is also working with Anna McMahon on whatever the plot is against the United States. So Red once again leverages the task force to dig up dirt on what the consipricy is all about, that is until he finds out he was robbed, by ARAM?!?!? Turns out Aram stole $60 Million dollars of Red's money as ransom to get Red to take him to Smara. But while on a plane ride to nowhere, Red convinces Aram that she needs to know you are safe to know she made the right choice.

Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: Should Ressler purse his quest for information on Katarina?? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

Olivia Olson In Pictures

Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week.

The Music of Olivia Olson

The music in the show is also in purgatoy this week as we only had one song again. At the end of the episode during the closing sequences while Ressler talks to his CIA contact, Red and Cooper talk about The Third Estate and Aram talks to his clock we hear “All There Is” from Gregory Alan Isakov who has been featured on the show already this season

Red and his mentor Robert Vesco are off on a treasure hunt to find gold from the sunken ship the De La Cruz while Samar and Aram work on their relationship while under attack from The Osterman Umbrella Company.

Case Profile for Robert Vesco & The Osterman Umbrella Company

Robert Vesco (an actual person in real life), is apparently alive and well and in search of the treasure from the De La Cruz, a ship thought to have sunk off the Florida coast in the 1700's. It also turns out that he was once upon a time Red's mentor teaching him everything he knew until Vesco swindled Red for everything he had. Vesco and Red team up this week to find the treasure buried below an opera house in New Orleans with the help of Red's merry band of misfits.

Elswhere Aram and Samar are contemplating their relationship as Mossad is contemplating theirs with Samar. Turns out that Aram leaked some info to Levi, Samar's Mossad handler, that triggered a token be called on Samar's life. The Osterman Umbrealla Company is tasked with taking out spies and agents from agencies around the world, and they have their sights set on Samar.

Red however jumps into action and is able to save Samar from the hands of the company, kills Levi for putting her in the situation, and makes his bestie in Aram hate his guts forever. See Red has sent Samar away, for good, never to be found again and it breaks Aram's and all of our hearts in the process. This is one episode of The Blacklist fans will never forget.

Robert Vesco & The Osterman Umbrella Company In Pictures

Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week.

The Music of Robert Vesco & The Osterman Umbrella Company

We are treated to a few selections from the Barber of Seville as well as a great tune from Les Brown & His Band of Renown. To kick of Red’s welcome back party we hear the remastered version of “Bruised Bones” from Les and Band. Then as the old cons discuss their treasure hunt plan we hear “Steal of Fortune” by Fuzzman, Whammy Boy. To close up the first hour as Aaram woos Samar back over champagne we hear “In The Arms” by Lucy Schwartz. The Second hour “Love Like There’s No Tomorrow” is heard from The War and Treaty playing as Samar and Aram say goodbye and it plays out all the way to the end and the last time we will see Mozhan as Samar.

Best podcast out here!
