12 Days of CraftLit - Twelfth Day

Originally released December 25, 2017 Twelfth Day… (Find all the days Thank you Librivox.org.) (20 March 1863 – 15 May 1930) was a novelist and playwright, born in Cunningsbury St George, Christ Church, Demerara, British Guyana. In 1894 he published his first novel, At the Gate of Samaria, but he did not achieve real success for another decade, with The Morals of Marcus Ordeyne (1905) and The Beloved Vagabond (1906). Chambers Biographical Dictionary wrote of his "long series of novels and plays which with their charmingly written sentimental themes had such a success during his life in both Britain and America... 478: Ch 1-2 - Start Anne of Green Gables

Chapters 1-2 Anne of Green Gables Ms Rachel is Surprised & Matthew is Surprised (too!) sort of the root of the Irishman joke (similar to this one: Paddy is in jail. Guard looks in his cell and sees him hanging by his feet.  “What the hell you doing?” he asks. “Hanging myself” Paddy replies.  “It should be around your neck” says the Guard. “I know” says Paddy “but I couldn’t breathe”.) Reminds me of the stories we learned about from History of the (very dated and now offensive) term Book Talk @ 9:31 : plain or twilled fabric with wool weft and cotton or linen warp that is used especially for warm shirts, skirts, and pajamas (Early 19th century: apparently an alteration of woolsey in linsey-woolsey). Fave quote of today’s chapters: people laugh at me because I use big words. But if you have big ideas you have to use big words to express them, haven't you?" "Well now, that seems reasonable," said Matthew.

The upshot: I'm fine. I'm typing slowly with one hand b/c my left arm is useless, probably for two or three more days. After getting the flu and then pneumonia last winter, I got flu and pneumonia shots Tuesday morning... in the same arm. This is evidently not something my body liked and it has rebelled. Ungodly pain hits when I move my left arm. But I've currently got it pinned to me, Napoleon-like, and good doctor drugs let me get some rest. So. The other epic fail was getting the Grounded audiobook up this week. Computers conspired as did health, so... next week!
