Dear God, Is Mediocrity a Virus? ️ ️🌸☁️🌟

This week's podcast I talk about how little things become big things. When you justify and allow even little things into your life which your intuition warns you against, you permit a virus to enter your life. It spreads to other areas. When you introduce a change to any system, you simultaneously change the whole system. The other areas of the system will begin arranging themselves to better fit with the new. Going against your higher intuitive voice is a slippery slope. You don’t realize day to day how out of whack things are really getting.

Any small problem or indulgence cannot be viewed in isolation. It reflects something much bigger and much deeper. Sometimes it takes an intense wake-up call like from your comadre in your head to become aware of the signals. But once your eyes are open, and you’re in a place to hear your inner voice, it all becomes painfully obvious. You’ve known all along you were living against yourself, but you continued to justify. The sickening reality is that you actually began to settle into the mediocrity, and convince yourself that you’re okay with it. Even when it shows itself throughout your entire life.

In this episode, topics of discussion will include: living your best life and banishing Mediocrity!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dear God, This is something I don't want people to know about me 🌸☁️🌟
This week's podcast I talk 3 things I don't want you to know about me! It's scary to be vulnerable to the world. Sometimes people mistake vulnerability for weakness because while others build walls up to prevent anyone from coming in, you bring walls down to let yourself be free. But it takes more strength to free yourself than it does to stay caged in. And while those who consider themselves strong, or tough, or hard, carry on as though nothing bothers them, as though nothing can break them or make them waver, you wear it on your face that you’re no stranger to being broken. And although you let others see the fact that you’ve been hurt before, you still carry on. Because you don’t let vulnerability defeat you or define you, you let it guide you. Dear God Why do conversations matter?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Primos y Primas in today’s tech-driven world, it’s quite feasible to avoid a voice conversation with another human being unless it’s in person and even then, a conversation is often optional or limited as people are busy clicking away on their electronic devices. We welcomed and embraced technology with the introduction of email followed by texting.

Despues as a result, we often avoid face to face or phone conversations, whether for business or pleasure. We can now handle a good share of our communication with our fingers rather than with our voices. Is this a problem you may ask yourself? Why do meaningful conversations matter? I am sharing a few sample questions for my 2020 challenge! Grab that cafecito. TUNE IN

Dear God Do we all have Spiritual Gifts?
with tu prima favorita 〰️ Alicia
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Primos y Primas I join you with a solo episode on the podcast this week — where I talk about spiritual gifts! If we’re willing to admit it, most of us have wondered if we have a spiritual gift. We all have intuition right or maybe not all of us can tune in? Just like any other type of comparison, it is often easier to see the spiritual gifts of others than it is to see our own. We can become so fixated on what we don’t have that we neglect to recognize and use our own gifts. So this is what I came across. There are no “levels” of spiritual gifts. Wait do you agree? It is said that the universe and each gift is God’s, so all are equally powerful and just as special.

To illustrate, let’s mentally step into a dark room for a moment. The room is full of people, and we each have a flashlight. We can shine our flashlights, or, we can watch others shine theirs and convince ourselves that their battery power must be stronger than ours because their light sure looks extra bright. If everyone starts comparing instead of turning on their flashlights, the room won’t get any lighter. But what if everyone turns their flashlights on at the same time? The combined power will overcome the darkness and light up the whole room. Do we tend to do the same thing when it comes to spiritual gifts? Grab that cafecito. TUNE IN

Dear God How do we know when we are at a crossroads in life?

Podcast cover
Read more
Primas y Primos...This weeks podcast I talk about How do we know when we are at a crossroads in life? Occasionally we get to a point in our lives where we see the path diverging in front of us. Sometimes it’s more dramatic than that and we find ourselves at a clear crossroads – parting ways, evident choices, decisions that cannot coexist. These points can be critical, or they can just seem critical. The specific metaphor of being at a crossroads is an interesting one and there’s some very unique mythology that goes along with it. My suggestion here is that this mythology is not something to be ignored. Grab that cafecito

This week's podcast I ask God " What do we know for sure?" We know death is for sure, We know heartbreak is for sure, we know sadness, frustration, disappointment, and the list goes on. Life is full of surprises but there are always going to be concrete facts for us to count on. There are some things in life we can't avoid, no matter how hard we try. I want to talk about some facts and clichés we know for sure and that is never changing, regardless of if we want them to. Grab that cafecito and TUNE IN

Primos y Primas, What does family mean to you? Besides my precious growing little family that I thank God every day for, For me, family is so much more than just the people I am related to, my family also consists of a supportive and caring group of friends who I can laugh and cry with. Did I mention how AMAZING THEY ARE! I love you guys!!! Without the strength of that type of friendship community, I feel that I would not have as much hope to be the parent and person that I strive to be. Growth is having the people around you call you on your ish but wanting the best for you! However besides Love, there is a word that comes before LOVE when you mention family and it starts with an F! Primos y Primas, What does it take to be considered a genius? Is a genius a remarkable musician who moves our spirits, an artist who creates beautiful paintings, a student who scores off the charts on an IQ test or the employee working the Genius Bar at your local Apple store? OK, maybe the last example is pushing it, but consider the other varieties of geniuses -- those with amazing musical, artistic, athletic and intellectual talents. Were the Mozarts and Monets of the world born with their genius? Or did their environment shape who they became? But what if I told you we are all have those genes.
