Jaidyn Leskie

The disappearance of a child would kick off one of Australia's most scandalous chapters. On June 14th, 1997, Greg Domaszewicz offered to babysit for his girlfriend, Bilynda Murphy. He drove off with her 14-month-old son Jaidyn that afternoon, promising to drop off the boy with a babysitter later in the evening. However, Jaidyn would never be seen by another living soul again. Whatever happened during that fateful day would lead to the disappearance of poor Jaidyn, whose body wouldn't be discovered until January of 1998... The Lane Bryant Shooting

In 2008, an unknown gunman would commit one of the few unsolved mass shootings in U.S. history. February 2nd of that year was a cold and blustery day in the region of Tinley Park, Illinois. That morning, two Lane Bryant employees and four customers would be taken captive by an armed gunman just after the store opened. The gunman, who posed as a delivery man, would loiter in the store for upwards of 40 minutes, before shooting the six female hostages and making off with a little more than $200. Despite the involvement of national and international law enforcement agencies, the killer's identity - and motives - remain a mystery to this day. The Waltham Triple Murder

In September of 2011, a morbid saga began to play out in a suburb of Boston named Waltham. The bodies of 37-year-old Raphael "Rafi" Teken, 31-year-old Erik Weissman, and 25-year-old Brendan Mess were found in Brendan's second-story apartment. The specific circumstances of their deaths pointed to a vicious killer with personal motives, and robbery was immediately ruled out as a potential motive. The case quickly went cold, but attention would be drawn to it more than a year later, when one of the largest acts of terrorism in American history began to unfold in neighboring Boston... Bardstown - Revisited (Part Three: Crystal Rogers)

On July 3rd, 2015, Crystal Rogers was last seen by anyone. She had been planning to spend the evening with her boyfriend, Brooks Houck, and had excitingly told a friend about finally enjoying a child-free night. Crystal, a mother of five, had been dating Brooks for a few years. The two had one child together (an infant son named Eli), and even though their relationship wasn't perfect, it seemed okay from the outside looking in. When Crystal's maroon Chevy Impala was found along the Bluegrass Parkway two days later, Crystal was reporting missing. Her disappearance would spark the third major criminal investigation in as many years, and - to this day - Crystal's whereabouts remain unknown. This is the third part of a new Unresolved series, Bardstown - Revisited. I originally covered Crystal's story back in February of 2016, but have expanded upon it significantly, and have rewritten/rerecording everything.Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.me/ If you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a PatronMusic CreditsJoao Picoito - "Third Floor"Rest You Sleeping Giant - "Dead Waters"ROZKOL - "Last Train in the Station"Graham Bole - "Nae Shaam"Borrtex - "Going Undercover"Blear Moon - "Cold Summer Landscape"Parvus Decree - "Subway Reflections"ROZKOL - "Spiders Web"Borrtex - "There Is Always A Reason"Kai Engel - "Soli"ROZKOL - "Burn It All Down"Other music created and composed by Ailsa Traves

The Original Night Stalker (Update)

This is an update regarding the first story I tackled on "Unresolved," that of the serial offender that went by several names: Original Night Stalker, East Area Rapist, Golden State Killer, and Visalia Ransacker. On April 24th, police in Ventura County, California, arrested 72-year old Joseph James Deangelo for the murders of Charlene and Lyman Smith. They were just two deaths attributed to this unknown killer, this mysterious EAR/ONS/GSK, among over a dozen.Upon his arrest, law enforcement announced a press conference for this four-decades old cold case. Investigators and websleuths alike are desperate to learn any details about this little-known Deangelo, who wasn't even on the radar of law enforcement more than a week ago.Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about the podcast at unresolved.meConsider supporting the podcast by heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod and becoming a patronMusic CreditsAlea Minerva - "Dead Letters"Pulse Emitter - "Decaying Ships"Tapes Tubes - "Salad Days"Kay - "Call Of The Void"

Olivia Thorndike

Throughout 2019, bizarre classified ads started to appear in the Virginia-based Rappahannock Record, which were centered around a cold case four decades in the making.Olivia Thorndike had been a 24-year-old young woman living in Henrico County, whose life came to a sudden and tragic end in November of 1981. While detectives and prosecutors had their suspicions about a couple of men in Olivia's orbit, they were never able to build a convincing case against either. Nearly forty years later, Olivia's case remains unsolved, but some people continue to search for justice (those that knew Olivia, and those that never had the chance). Tragically, that means that there's not a lot of information out there about Olivia, but I've been able to learn a lot about the two violent men that revolved around her in the weeks and months before her death...Episode hosted, produced, and research/writing by Micheal WhelanSpecial thanks to Catherine Storch, Joanne Stinson, and Bert Lewis for sharing their stories with usOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicTheme music created and composed by Ailsa TravesProducers: Maggyjames, Ben Krokum, Roberta Janson, Quil Carter, Peggy Belarde, Laura Hannan, Damion Moore, Amy Hampton, Scott Meesey, Steven Wilson, Scott Patzold, Marie Vanglund, Lori Rodriguez, Jessica Yount, Aimee McGregor, Danny Williams, Sue Kirk, Victoria Reid, Sara Moscaritolo, Thomas Ahearn, Marion Welsh, Seth Morgan, Sydney Scotton, Alyssa Lawton, Kelly Jo Hapgood, Patrick Laakso, Meadow Landry, and Rebecca MillerLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron or ProducerThis episode is sponsored by BetterHelp, who offer online counseling services. The Millbrook Twins (Part One: The Known)

In March of 1990, a pair of twins - named Dannette and Jeannette Millbrook - disappeared from their hometown of Augusta, GA. By all indications, they were just a regular couple of teenagers. They came from a large immediate family, but spent most of their time at home: they sang along to songs on the radio, spent most of their free time lounging around in front of the television, and attended church every Sunday. But on one particular Sunday - March 18th, 1990 - the twins walked through the neighborhood, hoping to collect bus fare from their godfather. They visited their godfather, then their cousin, and finally their sister, before stopping by a convenience store to buy some snacks. When they left the store, they were never seen again. I am joined by the younger sister of the twins, Shanta Sturgis, as well as the hosts of the podcast The Fall Line. Part one of three. Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanMusic by Lisa HoganFollow along with Shanta at her Facebook group, Missing Dannette and Jeannette Millbrook, which can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/twwinsfammily/Check out The Fall Line podcast, whose website can be found at: https://www.thefalllinepodcast.com/If you want to support this episode's sponsor, and save $20 from your first order at Winc, check out: trywinc.com/unresolvedIf you want to support this podcast's endeavor to become a weekly show, head to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to pledge your supportLearn more about the podcast at unresolved.me

West Mesa Bone Collector (Part One: The Pit)

On February 2nd, 2009, a woman walking her dog would stumble upon the largest crime scene in Albuquerque history. In the years prior, this once-desolate corner of ABQ had been ground zero for rapid expansion. Housing developments had been popping up left and right, but the 2008 recession caused a vast amount of land to remain undeveloped: in particular, a roughly 100-acre lot located just west of 118th Street. While out on an evening stroll, a woman's dog would unearth a human bone. Before long, police had begun excavating what would be the largest crime scene in Albuquerque history. Within a month, they had identified four of the victims (all were sex workers that had gone missing years prior) but several more remained unidentified... as did their collective killer... Chase Massner

In March of 2014, 26-year old Chase Massner disappeared from a friend's home. Chase, an Iraqi war veteran who lived in Canton, Georgia. Struggling to make ends meet and provide for his family, Chase took a job at a Quik-Trip in Kennesaw, located just a mile or so away from one of Chase's friends named Brad Clement. Chase and his wife, Amanda, had been having issues in the months before Chase's disappearance. Constant financial pressure put a strain on their relationship, and Chase was spending less time with both her and their two daughters. In the days before his disappearance, he had been spending time with his mother, Stephanie Cadena. On March 27th, Amanda dropped Chase off in Kennesaw. He went to stay the night with his friend, Brad. By Brad's own recollection, Chase was looking for a drug known as roxicodone. The next day, March 28th, Chase was gone. Brad claimed that Chase disappeared, but allegations would continue to sniff around Brad for years afterwards. Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal Whelan Music and production by T. Nordgren

In August of 2016, a mysterious hacker collective began releasing files and folders stolen directly from the NSA.Many of the programs this person or group released appeared to be legitimate cyber-weapons, which had been developed by U.S. intelligence. Despite the audaciousness of their posts - which became more immature and unhinged as time went on - the files they released seemed to have come directly from an NSA server. Tiffany Nelson

In June of 1994, a nine-year old girl was preparing to live out her summer dreams. Tiffany Elizabeth Nelson, a native of Augusta, Georgia, was a tomboy that loved to ride her bike while wearing frilly dresses. She had suffered the loss of her mother just two years prior, and was living with her aunt, Ora, in her home along Getzen Drive - just a few miles away from where Dannette and Jeannette Millbrook had gone missing four years beforehand. It was the first Monday of summer vacation, when Tiffany rode her bike down to a corner convenience store just a few blocks away. She was last seen at that gas station at approximately 10:00 AM, filling up her bike tires with air. When she went missing, very little was done to find her - or to investigate any of the potential offenders living in the area. Over the next eleven years, Tiffany would just become a footnote for the area: a cautionary tale for neighborhood children. But in 2005, a forester made a discovery roughly twenty miles south, which proved that there was more to Tiffany's case than met the eye... Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanMusic by Lisa HoganLearn more about the podcast at unresolved.meIf you want to save $30 from your first Hello Fresh order, you can use the offer code "unresolved30" at check-out
