Elsa Collins is a social impact strategy consultant and humanitarian who fights for equality in all spheres. Elsa works with organizations that operate on the frontlines of many social concerns in the United States today, including increasing voter registration and participation amongst the Latinx community and other marginalized populations; protecting the undocumented; and promoting racial and religious harmony and gender equality. Elsa works closely with groups like Fair Count/Fair Fight, the Movement for Black Lives, I am A Voter, Voto Latino, She Se Puede, and Harness. She is also the co-founder of This is About Humanity, a community and movement dedicated to providing support for separated and reunited families and children affected by the immigration crisis, raising awareness, and educating people on how to be allies and advocates. Elsa joins Sophia on “Work In Progress” to discuss their shared passion for activism and humanitarianism, the incredible work that “This Is About Humanity” does, Elsa’s upbringing as a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico, the importance of ‘witnessing’, how to talk about race with children...and, so, SO much more.
