Johnny Carlquist is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Pedro Sauer. He and James Gardner own and operate Unified Jiu Jitsu in Salt Lake City, where every class is taught by a black belt, and there are many at the academy. Johnny is also one of the Gym Jones OGs, where he and James began training with Mark in 2004. We cover some of that ground in this episode as well as discussing BJJ in general. Unfortunately, we were short on time so cut it at 1hr 40min when we were just getting into deep water and Johnny was, "just starting to have fun." There will be at least one follow-up episode because this conversation was a long time in the making and too damned short by half.
