F*ck You Money and Intense Focus with WSOP Champion Martin Jacobson (BWB:006)

Biz with Ben

Martin is a multi-millionaire, WSOP winner, Natural Stacks champion, and former chef so it was awesome getting a chance to talk with him for this week’s episode of BizWithBen!It took a bit to break some things down, but I think the discussion gets really interesting when we start discussing motivation after hitting “fuck you money” status and how relationships can change after you hit a liquidity event like winning the WSOP.My favorite quote from the show:I’ve always just been focused on what it is I want to do. Once I realized that, I’ll always find a way to do it. – @martin_jacobsonHe did admit that the money helps though.Show Notes: http://www.benhebert.com/martin-jacoboson

#52 - Martin Jacobson

The Mental Game Podcast

To restart the podcast in style, I’m very happy to welcome reigning WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson to the show. Last year while watching the final table in person, I got to see Martin’s performance up close. I was obviously cheering for my client Jorryt von Hoof, but it was easy to be impressed with the composure, professionalism, focus, and resilience that Martin showed on his way to the title and $10 million first prize. With the Main Event final table just around the corner, Martin was the perfect guest to have on the show.
