Dream Big and Live Free

Diane Rucker is the Executive Director of the University Enterprise Labs (UEL), a non-profit incubator dedicated to supporting early-stage life science and technology ventures. She has multiple degrees, 2 from MIT and 1 from the Univ. of Michigan but Diane's drive for her life and career was driven by a single incident that happened when she was 11 years-old. While living with her mom, who was a single parent, in Michigan, Diane remembers the day their heat was turned off in the middle of winter because her mom couldn't afford to pay the bill. She remembers freezing for 2 weeks before her mom could afford to have the heat turn back on. This incident stuck with Diane and she has used it to grow in her career and achieve her dreams.
