GSP 007: Getting Social With Podcast Host, Olivier Day. "Awakening My Awesome!"
The Getting Social Podcast
The following podcast is my best example yet of my motto: "Why fake it 'till you make it when you can document it 'till you perfect it". In this episode, I have the pleasure and honor of interviewing a fellow podcaster by the name of Oliver Day. He is the host of an awesome podcast called Awaken The Awesome…. Go figure right? Olivier takes us on a journey from episode 1 to 124. How he got started. What his process is. If you’re a podcaster, content creator, or entrepreneur, you might want to check this out and definitely his podcast! But if you’re big question is when to start, the answer is a resounding NOW! Done is better than perfect right? However you spin it, the answer is to show up and start now. I mean when you bring up names like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Gary Vee, Oprah, and Larry King, you know it’s serious talk! So serious, that you can expect some bigger changes starting this episode carrying on to the next. From now on, I’ll go back to the roots of podcasting and only publish in audio. But I know how much my wife loves the videos so I’m still going to create some videos but I’ll save the details for next time! My conversation with Olivier really inspired me. I only hope it can do the same for you! Let’s go straight to it, it’s time to get social! 📲Listen & Follow on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7EOMkuAAdQIxEkbM1R0UGg 📲Listen & Subscribe on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-getting-social-podcast/id1508766336?ign-mpt=uo%3D4 Follow Olivier Day! https://www.awakentheawesome.ca/ 📲Listen & Follow on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4DUuNIpxrLOq67sMXvcrw1 📲Listen & Subscribe on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/awaken-the-awesome/id1293931065

The More Sibyl Podcast
The More Sibyl Podcast Presents: 올리비에가되기| The One with Olivier Day – On Awakening the Awesome in Us: Episode 4 (2020)Let’s take a trip to Haiti, everyone, with today’s guest – Olivier Day. Olivier is the host of Awakening The Awesome Podcast where he talks on personal insights, showing people that you don’t have to be a superstar to be a SUPERSTAR. He truly strives to awaken the awesomeness in all of us.Haiti is known to have a rich cultural history, and its people are resilient people having been through a lot together from natural disasters to economic hardships and corrupt, inept governance, and yet still stand strong. They are known to be entrepreneurial, warm-hearted, fun-loving, positive, uncomplicated, welcoming, and also a HUGE sense of pride. Could that be the pride that made our guest face adversity and still come out strong? As a Nigerian, I could not help but draw the parallels between my country and Haiti.Olivier and I also talked about his marriage; how he purged the toxicity that almost damaged his marriage and the need for men to be more open and vulnerable with their partners. I also asked about parenting tips – the ones he’s recycling from his father and things he’s doing differently. My overall impression of Olivier is this - Here’s a man who shows that strength comes from admitting one’s weakness, having the courage to change and knowing that changing the world begins with changing oneself.Check out his podcast and learn more about Olivier here - http://awakentheawesome.ca/
Ep. 106 - Just Getting Started (Year-End Special) (w. Olivier Day ft. guest host: Brad Bodnarchuk)
Awaken The Awesome
As we near the end of the year, with the Holiday Season in full swing, it only felt appropriate to close out this incredible and energizing year with a bit of reflection and necessary gratitude. Thing is, and I've admitted this on and off this podcast, I'm somewhat of a workaholic. Whether that's a gift or a curse depends on your perspective. But, as I took a step back and intentionally realized how far this podcast has come in such a short time, it certainly makes the hard work, sacrifices and commitment feel noteworthy. You spend so much time with your head down, focused and undeterred, you often neglect to fully appreciate all that you've achieved. For this Year-End episode, the last of 2019, I wanted to changes things up a bit, in the spirit of trying something new. Following a few encouraging messages from many of you, I decided to hand over the proverbial 'Keys to the Castle' and delegate hosting duties to an individual whose work, support and newfound friendship have been immensely useful over the past year. There's a very short list of people whom I could trust with running this ship while I take a breather and take it all in for a sec...and I'm grateful to him for answering the call. With a keen eye for detail in an industry that is certainly always changing, Brad Bodnarchuk is quite possibly one the most dynamic Restaurant Consultants in the world. With an intense passion for both people and food, Brad's desire to create positive change in this particular space cannot be understated. One of the busiest guys I know with a prestigious list of clients both local and abroad, Brad is also the creator and host of the popular Half A Dozen Hospitality podcast, which you should definitely check out. This episode was indeed a tremendous exercise in vulnerability and humility where I found myself going back to the beginning and quite a few other places I didn't think I would. I hope you'll forgive your humble servant as I laugh childishly, chuckle nervously and celebrate gratefully as I get to look back at the year that's been and looking forward to the years to come...sooner than you think. My special thanks to all of you: esteemed guests, followers, subscribers, supporters, friends, family...for being along this incredible journey. #StayAwesome
