Noretta Jacob is the founder of Safar Training and Consultancy - training early childhood educators and professionals.  She was the former principal of Pre-School by the Park, rising up the ranks from an assistant teacher.  She shares her expertise in the area of early childhood education and tackles questions like why it is important, how to select a center for your child, what to look out for and why the facilities &amp; curriculum is secondary compared to the Quality of the teachers.Noretta was also a former national athlete, representing the Singapore Floorball team in 2 World Cups - winning an All-Star (tournament MVP) in the process. She reveals how she started playing the game, why she became a goalkeeper and lessons learnt playing the game.Noretta is candid, passionate and talented, as she also sings and plays the ukulele! Silverfox Hustle #56 - Noretta Jacob - Early Childhood Expert

Noretta is the founder of Safar Training and Consultancy, she is driven by a strong passion for pedagogy and advocates teaching through experiential learning. As an educator, Noretta saw the importance of raising the awareness of early childhood education to all the parents out there. Her mission is to engage and collaborate with various stakeholders i.e; parents, educators, and the community, to develop programmes to empower and engage young minds through active and discovery play and interaction.  Besides her passion for making a difference in the early childhood sector, she is an avid floorball player (a goalie!) and was a former national athlete as well, having represented Singapore between 2001-2005. She’s also a passionate cook, an animal lover and a modern-day hippie (singing and playing the ukulele). In this episode, Noretta shares her passion for educating young minds and teaching parents how to groom their children effectively from a young age. She also shares the importance of positive thinking and how we mustn’t allow our past negative traumas haunt us or stop us from going after what we truly want.

For 15 years, Noretta was involved in prestigious preschool organisations, climbing her way up the ranks from a junior, to the leading head. But somehow, for someone who hates changes in her life, she managed to pull the strength to start her own company with the mission to bridge the gap of the Malay/Muslim educators that were lacking behind. Her journey wasn’t easy coming from an employee mindset but she braved herself for the challenges ahead.
