Episode #53: Personal Loss During Quarantine, Content Creation and the 2020 Election with Hendel Leiva
A Pretty Normal Podcast
Hello everyone and welcome to A Pretty Normal Podcast, a show that reimagines what society considers normal. Each week I interview different guests about the topics they’re most passionate about. Before the interview starts I give a short moment of silence for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Three people who were murdered and whose deaths have rightfully so sparked massive outrage and protests across the country. This is the smallest possible thing I can do, but even if it helps bring a tiny bit more awareness and keeps this in our conscious as we try to move forwar, then I will gladly use this podcast platform to help. This week I had the opportunity of interviewing Hendel Leiva, the host of Immigration MIC podcast, a show that takes you through the story of each guest, and the reasons they’re fighting for immigrants across the nationHendel was the guest on episode #27 and hes someone whose hustle and energy I really respect. I love getting a chance to talk to him and this will definitely not be the last you hear of him here on this show. You can connect with Hendel Leiva on Instagram @hendelonthemicand check out his podcast at www.immigrationmicpodcast.comSubscribe to the show and follow us on Facebook // Instagram // Twitter // YoutubeRemember to leave us a rating and review if you enjoy the content brought to you every week. Ep. 10 – Hendel Leiva, Host & Producer of ImmigrationMIC and Momentum Podcasts
The Platform Latino Podcast
Hendel Leiva This was an amazing experience that I appreciate so much. I met Hendel at an event here in NY and we had an instant connection as we were both podcasters. Hendel has a great story of how he got into podcasting and just further strengthened my belief that experiences both bad/good can lead you to your purpose. He currently is the Host & Producer of two podcasts – ImmigrationMIC and Momentum. We talk a lot about his 99th episode which is a touching and motivating story where he lays it all out! Another thing I took from this interview is that we should never stop learning and always bring in new skills to our toolbox and go out and take risks. Reflection is a great tool that we all need to practice more and look back on our life experiences to learn and grow from them. I hope you all enjoy the episode, we recorded in Hendel’s studio hence the high caliber sound. Its something Platform Latino can work towards but I know you will learn and have a lot of takeaways from listening!

Episode #27: Immigration MIC Podcast host Hendel Leiva
A Pretty Normal Podcast
Hello everyone and welcome to A Pretty Normal Podcast, a show that re-imagines what society considers normal. Each week I interview different guests about the topics they’re most passionate about. This week I got to kick it with Hendel Leiva, the host of The Immigration MIC Podcast, a show that takes you through the stories and the reasons each guest is fighting for immigrants across the nation. Hendel reached out to me to invite me to his live recording at Hofstra University for the 100th episode of his podcast. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to the event but I knew for sure that I wanted to get him on the show. After a few months of trying to coordinate we were finally able to set a day for the interview. I listened to Hendel’s 99th episode, a 2 hour tell all where he takes the listener through the rise and fall of his career. It’s an incredibly open and honest monologue detailing his accomplishments, his pride, his downfall and his faith which helped him bounce back and start over to use his talents to give a voice to the voiceless. If you haven’t checked it out definitely listen to the episode and learn more about Hendel and how his journey brought him here.
