Secrets to Building a High-Peforming B2B Website With Erin Moore and Jamie Tokarz

Content Marketing, Engineered Podcast

While most marketers have design on their mind, strategic planning and quality content are key steps to creating a high-performing B2B website. Erin Gleeson, TREW Marketing Account Director, and Jamie Tokarz, TREW Marketing Content Manager, stop by to share often-overlooked or under-appreciated aspects of the website redesign process that have a massive impact on web performance.Erin walks us through the website redesign strategy process, and why this step is critically important. During the website redesign strategy, you'll set goals and expectations, think through the user’s journey and identify their needs, and map out all of your functional web needs. Design preferences, wireframing, navigation, and CMS selection are also part of this process. Developing a thorough strategy before kicking off the redesign implementation allows you to set a realistic budget and timeline, vs diving into development quickly leads to unplanned activities that increase costs and timelines unexpectedly.Jamie then gives her perspective on content development. Share shared that to be successful with your content development and minimize the time spent/number of iterations needed, there is a lot of work that needs to be done prior to ever starting a draft. This includes corporate and segment messaging, page templates or wireframes to guide writing, and identifying your writing team and reviewers. When it is time to roll up your sleeves, Jamie recommends using the 4 Cs of web writing: clear, concise, cohesiveness, and consistency. For show links and more, visit the Content Marketing, Engineered podcast blog https://bit.ly/CMEPodcastLearn more about TREW Marketinghttps://www.trewmarketing.comOrder the book! ¡Get Smart! with Erin Moore! Discussing Sponsorship & The 13th Step

Recovery in the Middle Ages - Two Middle-Aged Suburban Dads Talk About Recovering From Addiction to Drugs & Alcohol.

RMA-Episode 52 Show Notes: This week on RMA: When sponsors go bad. Anyone who has been around 12 step groups for any length of time is familiar with the idea of the “13th Step”. The act of “13th Stepping” is when a more experienced member of AA or NA pursues a romantic or other exploitative relationship with a new group member. Obviously this can be detrimental to someone’s recovery, but it can also be dangerous, and sometimes deadly. With courts using AA as an alternative to incarceration for all sorts of offences that have nothing to do with alcohol, the problem is getting worse.  Is such 13th stepping an inevitable byproduct of the 12 step model or are there safeguards that can be put into place by the involved organizations that would reduce or eliminate the potential for abuse of the sponsorship model? Mike and Nat, joined by RMA regular Erin Moore, do a deep dive into the issues of power imbalances and exploitation in 12 step groups, and consider ways to make meetings safer for people in recovery. PLUS, Mike’s appearance on This Naked Mind has led to a wave of new listeners and we welcome them with open arms. Hope you enjoy the podcast! All this and more on an extra inning, back to school, everyday episode of Recovery in the Middle Ages. Discussing Trauma, Addiction, Recovery and Misphonia with Erin Moore!

Recovery in the Middle Ages - Two Middle-Aged Suburban Dads Talk About Recovering From Addiction to Drugs & Alcohol.

RMA-Episode 6 Show Notes: This week we welcome Erin Moore to the Podcast! Erin is a recovering alcoholic and pill aficionado who lives in North Carolina and has seven-plus years of sobriety. There’s a lot to identify with here. Erin’s experience mirrors what a lot of us in the suburbs go through when we struggle with substance abuse while simultaneously raising our kids and trying to hold our shit together. Mike and Nat talk to Erin about recovery, cult-like rehabs, trauma, and Brass Monkey. It’s a freewheeling discussion that could only take place here, in The Middle Ages.  As if THAT wasn’t enough entertainment, Mark and Nat also comment on some listener mail, give an update on John the Can Man, and Nat tells a story about his failing memory.  All that, plus Recovery in the News and Weird & Wacky on a looong but compelling episode of Recovery in the Middle Ages.  PLEASE leave us a 5 star review on I-Tunes if you’re enjoying the show and SUBSCRIBE to get the latest episodes.  APPLE LINK https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/recovery-in-middle-ages-two-middle-aged-suburban-dads/id1528859864 You can reach us by email at: MikeR@middleagesrecovery.com Natx@middleagesrecovery.com Send comments, complaints, death threats, ideas and requests to be interviewed.
