59: Para Twofer w/ Kris Sumner of Soul Sisters Paranormal and Miranda Young of Ghost Biker Explorations

A Haunt Mess

The ghouls welcomed back Kris Sumner of Soul Sisters Paranormal and Miranda Young of Ghost Biker Explorations. Each had been guests separately before, but this time they came as a package deal! Both ladies investigate separately, but they also often team up on their paranormal investigations, so sometimes that results in cross-over episodes.Speaking of, the third season of Miranda's Ghost Biker Explorations dropped during October. Kris is working on a new Soul Sisters Paranormal offshoot series called Landmark Legends and Lore. Both Kris and Miranda focus on creating history-driven content. As Miranda put it, travel and history come first, the paranormal actually factors in third and is an added bonus.Do ghosts know when you're sleeping, and therefore vulnerable? How far would you go when dressing the part and becoming a trigger item? Is Chris Watts' house haunted? (The man who murdered his wife, Shan'ann, and their two daughters, Bella and Cece in Colorado.) Did neighbor security cameras and police body cams capture their spirits? These are just some of the conversations the ghouls had with Kris and Miranda. But there was a lot of activity...including several appearances by the AHM's Podcast Phantom, who was either being a real drag or was turned on by five smart and sexy ladies gathered together dishing about the paranormal. (The ghouls will be dropping a separate video with Kris and Miranda trying to help them figure out what was going on.)But for now, here's what else you can expect to hear in this episode...HAUNTED PLACES DISCUSSED IN THIS EPISODEFarnsworth House Inn in Gettysburg, PAThe Grand Old Lady Hotel in Balsam, NCRevenant Acres Farm in IndianaMa Barker HouseHenry Mill River Village in North CarolinaThe Willows Weeps house in Cayuga, Indiana (which is also sometimes called the "cross house" because it's built n the shape of an upside-down cross and is apparently dubbed the Most Evil House in North America)WHAT MAKES THIS EPISODE MESSYA podcast phantom who's either a drag or a heavy breatherAirwick & Febreze air freshenersA dude licking a lady's hand while she's sleeping (which is also super creepy)MoonshineGUEST INFOYou can find their YouTube and socials by visiting each of their websites, which are:Miranda and Ghost Biker Explorations: https://ghostbikerexp.wixsite.com/ghostbikerKris and Soul Sisters Paranormal: https://www.soulsistersparanormal.com/WHERE ELSE TO GET MESSY WITH THE GHOULSWebsite:  https://ahauntmess.blogspot.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pg/ahauntmess/Twitter: https://twitter.com/AHauntMessInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/podcastahauntmess/?hl=enTHE GHOULSDeedee, Sara, and CourtneyMUSICNightmare Machine by Kevin MacLeodLink: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/4133-nightmare-machineLicense: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Miranda Young - The Ghost Biker Rides into the Paranormal.

Everything Imaginable

Check out her show!https://ghostbikerexp.wixsite.com/ghostbiker/blankMiranda Young (Ghost Biker)Miranda has always been interested in the paranormal for as long as she can remember. As a child, you could find her in the library reading books about ghosts and folklore, or visiting with her grandmother who would often share stories about growing up in the Appalachian Mountains.Miranda began investigating with a team in 2013 and continued with them until 2018. Her role on the team consisted of photo analyst, video/audio evidence producer and marketing specialist, as well as investigator. While fully involved with the team, she found that in her spare time, she was traveling and exploring a great deal on her own. She would often take photos of these locations and share them on her Facebook page. These photos started to get a lot of attention and people began messaging her and asking what the stories were behind these images. This is how Ghost Biker Explorations was born.Because Miranda is out on her bike taking photos every chance she gets and doing little investigations, she thought why not chronicle these adventures through video? Miranda loves investigating the big locations, but through this project, she discovered that every little town has a ghost story that the citizens have heard all their lives, or an abandoned location that they drive by every day. Her goal is to visit these towns, spotlight the areas, tell the story and either investigate the location or explore it.Interests - Motorcycles, Photography, Drawing/Art, Running, Paranormal Investigating, Jeeping

29: The Miranda Young of Ghost Biker Explorations Episode

A Haunt Mess

Miranda Young of Ghost Biker Explorations was very generous with her time and joined the ghouls to talk about some of her investigations, projects and  para philosophies.Locations discussed included The Bleeding Mausoleum in Cleveland, TN; Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, TN; the Bellaire House in Bellaire, OH; Octagon Hall in Franklin, KY; Revenant Acres in Charlottesville, IN;  the Old Southern Funeral Home in Kosciusko, MS, and the House on Sunset Hill. What bit her on the butt during an investigation? Where was she when she tried automatic drawing (similar to automatic writing) and had uncanny results? And which haunted places always seem to cause issues when she talks about them? (It even happened this episode!)Guest InfoGhost Biker Explorations website: https://ghostbikerexp.wixsite.com/ghostbikerFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/GhostBikerExplorations/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/runaway_vixen/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrV-jF-MIL1xRU6Iyoo1qFQ?Where Else to Get Messy with the GhoulsWebsite:  https://ahauntmess.blogspot.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pg/ahauntmess/Twitter: https://twitter.com/AHauntMessInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/podcastahauntmess/?hl=enThe GhoulsDeedee, Sara, and CourtneyMusic“Nightmare Machine” by Kevin MacLeod / Incompetech

29: Bikes, Brushy and Ghosts: A Chat with Miranda Young from Ghost Biker Explorations

Haunt Jaunts

One of the stories that stuck with Court after a jaunt to Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary was when a guard shared an eerie EVP captured by a woman paranormal investigator who had spent the night alone in the Hole. Court didn't know the woman's name, but had thought she'd like to meet her. Court had questions for that lady!Well, as Fate would have it, during a chat with Kristy Sumner of Soul Sisters Paranormal for the A Haunt Mess podcast Courtney also co-hosts, it came out that Kristy is great friends with that very lady: Miranda Young of Ghost Biker Explorations. In addition to talking with Miranda about her investigations at Brushy Mountain, Court learned how this intrepid motorcycle riding ghost hunter followed her passions (bikes and the paranormal) and merged them to become Ghost Biker Explorations. But first Court had to know how Miranda had even gotten interested in the paranormal and motorcycles. Both stemmed from a lifelong interest that manifested in childhood. They also talked trigger objects Miranda is fond of using (including girly mags, which illicit some great interactions), history, and about the importance of pursuing dreams and going after whatever it is that makes your heart beat a little faster.Want more Haunt Jaunts? Within The Chaos Christmas Special with Miranda Young

Vibe Radio Network

Miranda Young   creator and star of the hit web series Ghost Biker Explorations is an experienced paranormal investigator, who has turned her passion for photography, history, urban exploration, and motorcycles into a unique and popular show that highlights legends, mysteries and the unexplained. Growing up in Robbins, Tennessee, a small town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains and an hour away from the closest metropolitan area, Miranda’s immersion into folklore, ghost stories, and mysteries began at an early age through reading library books and exploring abandoned locations. Her interests were further fostered through long conversations with her 90-year-old grandmother, who would tell her stories about ghosts and legends from the past.Telling the stories of the history, the legends, and the ghostly tales of lesser known locations through her photographs, blogs and posts on her social media pages, interest in Miranda and her personal explorations grew. Miranda, in a joke with a friend, mentioned that she should call herself “The Ghost Biker”, to which her friend exclaimed “I’d watch that show!”. Encouraged further by friends, family, and fans, Miranda designed a logo and began creating a plan to film and produce a new and unique show entitled: Ghost Biker Explorations. GBE was designed around the concept of highlighting Miranda, along with her motorcycle, as she travels to various towns to figure out the mysteries within the ghost stories and legends that have been passed down throughout the generations.
