We are very excited to take you on a journey to learn more about all of the incredible businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders. This week we are featuring President/CEO of the YMCA of the Suncoast and AMPLIFY Clearwater's Chairman of the Board, G. Scott Goyer!  A graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts, he entered YMCA work directly after leaving school. He has dedicated the last 39 years to a career of strengthening the community through the YMCA. He has served the YMCA in five different communities, Cincinnati, OH, San Francisco, CA, Nashville, TN, St. Paul, MN, and now Clearwater, FL. His current role is President/CEO of the YMCA of the Suncoast. The YMCA of the Suncoast serves over 100,000 individuals through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, 50 % under the age of 18, in a four-county area, employing over 1200 full and part-time individuals. One of 850 in the nation, the YMCA of the Suncoast is the 63rd largest YMCA in the country.   He and his wife, Devon, who has been his best friend for over thirty-seven years, have two beautiful daughters, Danielle, age 30, and Gracyn, age 26. He currently serves on the Belleair Country Club Finance Committee. He formally served as an Elder at Lakeview Community Church and serves on several community boards, including AMPLIFY Clearwater. He enjoys golf, competitive volleyball, boating, and home improvement projects.
