Women's History Month Part 2: Cathy Reese, Missy Meharg, Kelly Hovland
Hear The Turtle
In Part 2 of our two part Women's History Month series, women's basketball legend and BTN/ESPN personality Christy Winters-Scott hosts a roundtable discussion with women's lacrosse head coach Cathy Reese, field hockey head coach Missy Meharg and women's golf coach Kelly Hovland. Also a celebration of Keith Sneddon on his final episode of Hear The Turtle.
Cathy Reese is one of the sport’s most decorated coaches, and often appears to be one of most relaxed with her team. She’s built a dynasty as head coach at College Park to the tune of five national championships and is still as motivated as she was when she took over for Cindy Timchal in 2007. Reese embraces the individuality of each of her players, allowing them to take chance and have fun while chasing NCAA titles. It’s how she enjoyed her college experience, winning four straight national championships with Maryland. Now, she’s missing the interaction with her players at College Park. She spoke with Paul Carcaterra about her coaching philosophy, how her husband inspires her as she continues her career and why she’s so proud to be a mother.

Glenn Clark Radio May 28, 2019 (Jonathan Mayo, Cathy Reese)
Glenn Clark Radio
We're back with much to discuss-the Orioles won a game, DJ Stewart is (probably) on the way, the Bucks (probably?) won't be winning the NBA Finals, Glenn has to "run" 10 miles and so much more. We're less than a week away from the start of the MLB Draft-midway through Hour 1 Jonathan Mayo from MLB.com/MLBPipeline.com/MLB Network checked in and said he wouldn't be totally stunned if the Orioles didn't take Adley Rutschman with the first pick. Later in the Hour, PressBox's chief grand poobah Stan "The Fan" Charles joined us in studio for another round of Five Words Or Less, discussing relevant sports figures like Gerald McCoy, Mychal Givens, Steph Curry and the late Bill Buckner. Late in Hour 2, our pal Booker Corrigan stopped by the studio to discuss Virginia winning the NCAA lacrosse title (meaning Glenn has to run) and we were joined by Maryland women's lacrosse coach Cathy Reese after they beat Boston College Sunday for the school's 15th national championship.
