Jordyn Taylor on Finding Her Purpose By Becoming the Change With Twelve Months of Giving - Ep 067

At The End of The Tunnel

Real Estate agent and former singer, Jordyn Taylor, like many people who were stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, began to reflect on her purpose in life. She’d had a career in music, she had worked in real estate, and she was very good at both of those things, but she realized that she didn’t feel fulfilled. She started volunteering with a man named Joseph Bradford, who you may remember from Episode 47. Joseph was the one-man food bank who started a nonprofit called the B.A.R.E Truth, which provides supplies, food, and transitional housing to people living without homes. Jordyn volunteered with Joseph in Los Angeles before taking a leap of faith and starting her own nonprofit, Twelve Months of Giving, which spotlights 12 noteworthy nonprofits every year, shining a light on the incredible organizations that are using their time and energy to create lasting change. In today’s episode, Jordyn starts by sharing her favorite activity as a child, swimming, and how that created a sense of freedom for her. We dive into her career journey, which started at the age of 14 when she started singing which took her all the way to Japan, and Jordyn shares her common interest in speaking to and connecting with people, which she believes has driven her throughout her life. You’ll learn how a campaign for the Be The Match bone marrow registry sparked the idea for 12 Months of Giving, what it felt like for Jordyn to finally connect with her purpose, and some of the unexpected benefits she has seen from the project, and Jordyn shares her advice for anyone wanting to start their non-profit. If you can relate to feeling unfulfilled, we hope that hearing Jordyn’s story will inspire you to seek out opportunities to give back or to leave the world a better place than you found it, in whichever way resonates with you. Tune in today!

Episode 15Finding Your Voice With Jordyn Taylor// About The Episode:Join today’s Mindful Divine guest, Jordyn Taylor, a real estate mogul, former international pop star, singer/songwriter, model, and the OG Myspace princess (remember Myspace?), If you can’t tell, this girl is a serious force to be reckoned with, and all-around stellar human. I’ve been lucky enough to count Jordyn as a dear friend since 2006, and am thrilled to be talking to my fellow scorpio-sister today about her journey and ventures, how she's found her voice, how 2020 changed her for the better, and what mindfulness means to her. These days, she is a coast-to-coast luxury real estate consultant and one-half of the Taylor Martin Team, and pivoted from the world of music and entertainment in 2015, bringing her knowledge of relationships, atmosphere, and creativity to her venture in residential and commercial sales. Jordyn says she finds her successes in bringing a fabulous, funny and female tone to, what can be, a very buttoned up world. Although specializing in the most opulent of listings, she believes that luxury can be experienced by everyone regardless of budget and always finds a way to make each client feel exactly that.Jordyn is heavily involved in multiple philanthropic ventures, including 12 Months of Giving and Pencils of Promise, which is the indirect reason she landed herself living and working back in her home state of California after living in New York for the last 5 years.+ Philanthropic Affiliations: https://12mog.org/+ Philanthropic Affiliations: https://pencilsofpromise.org/+ Social: https://www.instagram.com/jordyntaylornow/?hl=en+ CBD Drops: https://healistnaturals.com/products/cbd-oil-for-stressAs always, thank you for reading along, listening to, sharing, and subscribing, and don’t forget to stay Mindful & Divine.x.shanaMindful Divine WebsitePodcast • YouTube • Book • InstagramQuestions?
