Jeremy Haun packs an amazing story into 40 Seconds
Writer Jeremy Haun joins me to delve into the comiXology Originals title “40 Seconds,” which he worked on with artist Chris Mitten, colorist Brett Weldele, and letterer and designer Thomas Mauer. Jeremy and I talk about the origin of the story, the process of bringing it to the page, and some cool details that tie into his other works. We also go into the changes that the comics industry has seen and how indie creators now have a better chance of bringning their work to a wider audience.
During this conversation Friday night with Jeremy on Word Balloon Live we learned the sad real time news of Black Panther Actor Chadwick Boseman's passing. At 28:55-54:26 of the conversation, we discuss the loss, and his obvious impact on the World with his incredible body of work. His films and performances will stand the test of time. Haun also discusses his rec ent comics like Red Mother from Boom, a new Comixology Mini Series 40 seconds and Haunthology a great series of horror stories.
Hey everybody, this week we want you to pour up your favorite beverage and kick back to enjoy a conversation with the one and only Jeremy Haun. We talk about the past, present, and future of his work, his thoughts on the industry, and the balance of being both a professional creator and family man. Double Page SpreadMay 1 (3 days ago)to me, amy Wendi gets superficial this week as she talks to Image comics creator, Jeremy Haun, about his book, "The Beauty". A startling tale of an STI that makes you beautiful for a while before some devastating side effects kick in, its a book that melds body horror, current politics, personal agency and police procedural. They also talk about his other project, "The Realm", a post apocalyptic, Dungeons and Dragons influenced tale, as well as writing love stories about sexy Asian men, Steely Dan, hat shopping with Ande Parks and so much more!Check out the Double Page Spread merch store at www.doublepagespread.threadless.com where you can get everything from mugs to shower curtains with our adorable logos! This podcast is part of the Taylor Network which is home to many great podcasts, all available on the Taylor Network feed on iTunes, Stitcher radio and Google Play.
