Trevor Immelman Interview: Broadcast booth vs playing, balancing golf with life, and the Masters
Off Course with Claude Harmon
On this episode of GOLF’s Off Course with Claude Harmon III, rising broadcaster Trevor Immelman shares his view from the booth as opposed to playing on Tour. The 2008 Masters Champion discusses why Augusta is so special, what separates the best players in the world, and why you should own your own swing.
Trevor Immelman's career has taken an interesting trajectory since he won the 2008 Masters at the age of 29. In this episode he talks to Simon and Dylan about the highs of winning the Green Jacket and the disappointment in the years following as he battled injury and form. He also opens up about transitioning from playing to commentary and preparing to captain Team International at the 2022 Presidents Cup.
With his Rockstar personality and beautiful swing, Trevor Immelman was groomed to be a major player, and in 2008, he mastered his skills enough to capture a green jacket over Tiger Woods. Unfortunately, after that major triumph, he never quite recaptured the same form. Music: “Better Days” by Lakey Inspired Video Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiq6rn2H78A
