Episode 66 - Daniel Huber - Cooking with Cannabis @TheBurlyChef @GreenRockAB

The Cannabis 101 Podcast

The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch us every Wednesday. This week we dove into cooking with cannabis thanks to Red Seal Chef Daniel Huber who is also the Manager of the St. Albert Green Rock Cannabis location. We chatted about his background, common mistakes, pro tips, and the best dosing method I have heard yet when it comes to baking. Daniel and Green Rock Cannabis offer educational programs in store and I also asked him what foods and strains he loves to use, plus how to get your cannabis from flower to a useable cooking ingredient.David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Some new filtered joints are on the way, while a couple of companies in the Okanagan are growing rapidly and some relief for those in the cannabis industry south of the border.  Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co brings the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis. It was all about education this week as in our opinions there isn't enough out there. The Budtenders you meet in stores are amazing, but there needs to be more places where people can learn about the plant.  Chris Ianson is our educator and the Manager of the Jasper Avenue location of Nova Cannabis in Edmonton. We explored Chocolop from Whistler Cannabis. An original 10 when it comes to cannabis and man is this bud beautiful. Almost a pure sativa that is very good for productivity. The Cannabis Question is about paraphernalia while the Cannabis Character is Sir Smoke a Lot from Half Baked and in Weed Word of the Day I define Bogart and Decarboxylation.  You can find full episodes and more at www.Cannabis101Podcast.ca where you can sign up for The Weed Weekly and get in on our Friday giveaway.

4.2 - Daniel Huber

Treffpunkt: Zukunft

This show is an independent partner with RankandFile.ca and supported by UFCW Local 832.This episode broadcasts from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory, the original lands of the Cree, Oji Cree Anishnaabeg Dakota and Dene peoples and the homeland of the Metis nation. The broadcast date is December 9, 2018.Daniel Huber is an Edmonton chef and founder of the Alberta Vanguard Association, an advocacy group for the restaurant industry workers. Last week, the Alberta NDP government introduced legislation to ban mandatory high heels in workplaces, a direct result of lobbying from the AVA. Now, the group has partnered with the Alberta Federation of Labour to launch fairserve.ca, a place for workers to share their stories, connect with each other, and participate in organizing and lobbying. The key advocacy points are high heels, house tipping, and payroll deductions. This is only the first step in what Huber would like to see to improve working standards in the restaurant industry.www.fairserve.ca---CUPW---http://rankandfile.ca/cupw-legislated-back-the-struggle-continues/---Manitoba ---https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/wildfire-fighting-privatization-manitoba-babcock-1.4931056 https://www.policyalternatives.ca/newsroom/updates/2018-state-inner-city-report-green-light-goimproving-transportation-equity
