Season 4 Ep. 8 - Using Scripture to Ground Children in a Christian Worldview w/ Guest Elizabeth Urbanowicz
Coffee and Bible Time's Podcast
Today we are going to be talking about “Equipping children to think well through building a Biblical worldview in the formative years and learn the Word of God.” Children today are faced with so much information coming from so many different places such as: books, cartoons, movies, school, even hearing conversations outside of the home—all at a very young age, that it’s fair to say they will encounter many false ideas and worldly perspectives, early and often. It’s so important as parents to understand that the world is changing at a rapid pace and young minds are very impressionable, so being mindful of teaching our young children early about the Christian Worldview and comparing the information they receive with the truth of Christianity is critical. Our guest today, Elizabeth Urbanowicz, founder and CEO of Foundation Worldview, will be sharing with us how we can navigate being media-stressed and equipping parents to handle the pressures of this culture and be intentional about equipping our kids to understand and evaluate Biblical truth compared to today’s culture.Watch This on YouTube: https://youtu.be/DVycTSmdX18Coffee and Bible Time Prayer JournalCoffee and Bible Time Prayer BinderFaithful Counseling (sponsor) - Get 10% off your first monthJoin our Coffee and Bible Time Crew: Bible & FriendsInstacart (sponsor) - Free delivery for new customers on first order!Vooguemehttps://foundationworldview.com/ESV Audio Bible Read by Kristyn GettyESV Study Bible - Large PrintThe Action BibleStudy Bible - Cultural Backgrounds (NIV)Study Bible - Cultural Backgrounds (NKJV)Classic Journaling NotebookBlue Letter Bible AppSupport the show

Youth Culture Matters - A CPYU Podcast
There’s little chance that we are able to discern biblical truth from the spirit of the times until our roots go deep through washing and delighting ourselves each and every day in the Word of God. Sadly, many of those called to nurture children and teens in the faith today are misleading the young by never faithfully teaching the truths of God’s Word. And without a knowledge of the truth, the enemies lies are more easily believed. Even what seems like an innocent Christian children’s book can put kids on a fast road away from the true Christian faith. That’s why I’m chatting today with Elizabeth Urbanowicz about how to train our kids in biblical discernment, on this episode of Youth Culture Matters.

7 Lies Your Kids Will Believe Unless You Do Something - with Elizabeth Urbanowicz
This matters. These lies are being absorbed by youth in our culture and they are breaking their ability to think rationally and biblically faithfully. I HIGHLY recommend that parents check out Elizabeth's foundation worldview curriculum. It's a really good tool to train your kids (and yourself while you are at it) in how to think biblically about things. Since your kids are being exposed to worldly and unbiblical thinking all the time they are very likely to simply absorb it and assimilate it if they aren't given the tools to reason through the issues well. This is where Elizabeth's project comes in. You can have your kids do these classes once a week from home whenever it's convenient for you. I'm not making ANYTHING for telling you this. I think this is just a really needful program for Christian families in modern times. I know life is crazy busy for parents but I think this is one of those things that's worth your time and is really underpriced for the benefit it brings. THINKPOD: How to Teach Your Kids to Think Like Christians | Elizabeth Urbanowicz
As Christian parents, we have been entrusted with making disciples of our kids, and that means "teaching them to obey everything [Christ] has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20)." If truly free thinking is possibly only when is built on the solid foundation of His teaching (Matthew 7:24), then Christian parents had better learn how to instill a Christian worldview in their children, and there's no time to lose. Elizabeth Urbanowicz earned her B.S. from Gordon College in Elementary Education and Spanish, her M.S.Ed in Christian Apologetics from Biola University, and spent a decade as an elementary teacher at a Christian school. She's the author of the Foundation Comparative Worldview Curriculum, and her work has helped to equip countless children and families with the knowledge and skills to disciple children in the biblical worldview. In this episode of the Think Podcast, she joins Joel Settecase to discuss her curriculum and how to powerfully prepare your kids to reason in a biblical way. Even if you don't yet have children of your own, you won't want to miss this. Check out powerful tools and resources from Elizabeth Urbanowicz at foundationworldview.com.
