The guest this week is Tim Lovejoy. Be the Best Version of You Inside and Out; Tim Lovejoy Said This to me
The Steven Sulley Study Podcast
‘Month in, month out, week in, week out, be the best version of you inside and out’ Steven is going solo and reflects on the incredible people he has already met and interviewed focusing in particular on the advice Tim Lovejoy shared when he was in conversation with Steven earlier in the year. Tim has an extensive career in television across the Soccer AM program and more recently the Sunday Brunch. Steven and Tim met through the artist Schoony, who Steven has collaborated with professionally and whose work is collected by Tim Lovejoy. The essence of his inspirational advice – that in life you need something that will make you money, something that will make you fit and healthy and something that will make you creative is explored in-depth in this episode. Steven shares his goals, aspirations and why Tim’ is ‘so f#cking right’ about what you really need to succeed and be happy in life, listen in and find out if you are setting big enough goals, pushing hard enough and being the best version of you inside and out. KEY TAKEAWAYS You can never be 100% happy all of the time, in order to be happy you need to feel a bit of fear, anxiety and anger because these emotions will make you appreciate when you are happy. Growing is about evolving and pushing towards something, you have something to look forward to, something you are accountable for and if you are growing ultimately you achieve happiness. Pushing for more is not about being greedy it’s about growing as an individual and becoming the best version of you. Money You need to do something that makes you money but you need a career, job, or business that you are passionate about. You have to some sh#t in your life to get where you want to be and if you don’t have your own plan, you will become part of someone else’s. To make money you need goals, to be working alongside the right people and to have complete synergy with the company you are working for, or the career you have embarked on. The more money you make, the more you can give away and use to help friends, family. Making money is a healthy thing that gives you purpose. Fit and Healthy Being fit and healthy is a combination of nutrition and training. If you are not eating properly or training properly it is likely you will give off negative energy and you will lose opportunities, you won’t be the best version of yourself. When I’m fit and healthy and training I attract more opportunities into my life. Having a focus and keeping yourself accountable to others in fitness and training is vital. It’s hard to make money and hard to have the best relationships in life if you are not fit and healthy. Creativity Today your modern CV is your digital footprint, your Instagram profile, your Facebook profile and your website. Putting out positive content that gives value is a part of your CV. This podcast keeps me creative and I am continually educating myself as I look for new people to interview. In order to live a fulfilled life, you have to keep your mind active it’s vital to find something that keeps your mind active. BEST MOMENTS ‘Even in your darkest moments, you can find positivity and life lessons that can bring you a bit of joy and happiness in that scenario’ ‘I have aspirations to become very successful in business and grow my podcast alongside my businesses’ ‘I’m growing just like everyone else; I have set my targets and ambitions very high and I keep myself active and busy pushing myself’ VALUABLE RESOURCES The Steven Sully Study Podcast Schoony - Woodbury House Art ABOUT THE HOST The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. My view is you should have multiple focuses to be a well-rounded individual. My 'Study' has taken resources from reading and education plus being around, my perception, of successful people and I, know a lot of successful people from all walks of life. My 'Study' coming from my experiences in business, investing, sales (my core background), training, boxing and education has enabled me to become well rounded and successful.
