"But We Heeded Them Not" by David A. Bednar
General Conference Conversations
We love Elder Bednar! Today, I talk about his talk “But We Heeded Them Not.” Here’s a recap of questions to think about: “The combination of inspired lyrics and majestic melodies helps me to learn essential gospel principles and stirs my soul.” What hymns or other music do this for you? What mocking or scorn are you hearing? From friends, family...members of your ward, leaders...about promptings and answers you've received? "What helps you to “heed not” worldly influences, mocking, and scorn?" How do your covenants allow you to block out or stand up to the mocking and scorn in your life? What is the Lord telling you? What questions do you want to study further? Contact me! FB: General Conference Conversations IG: @generalconferenceonversations Email: genconfconvos@gmail.com

Elder David A. Bednar: Living in Revelation
All In
In April 2011, Elder David A. Bednar made an analogy in general conference of light switches and sunrises to personal revelation and receiving the Lord’s guidance in our lives. This landmark talk inspired Latter-day Saints everywhere in how they seek and recognize Heavenly Father’s presence in their lives. In the years since that address, Elder Bednar has spoken around the world about personal revelation. As he’s done so, he’s heard one question from Church members more than any other: “How do I know if it’s me or the Spirit?” In this week’s episode, we hear Elder Bednar’s answer to this question and discuss other thoughts related to the principles of revelation. “You don’t have to do it all in one day—a little bit every day with God’s help.” Show Notes: 1:42- Academic Learning Vs.
