How Violin Vigils for Elijah McClain Spread Nationally
The Soul Stories Podcast
A special episode of The Soul Stories Podcast styled a la "This American Life". We explore how a peaceful protest turned violent sparked a national movement. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Elijah McClain walked to the convenience store last Summer to buy an iced tea for his brother. He died before he could make it back home. Not from violent crime on the street, not from a horrible accident, but at the hands of the very people we pay to serve and protect us. ALL OF US. Please join us this week on Murder in Retrograde when we highlight the tragic story of Elijah McClain.
Episode 3 - Elijah McClain and The Oakland County Child Killer
All I Know Is I Don't Know
In Episode 3 of "All I Know Is I Don't Know" things get CRAZY! Alisia discusses the disgusting MURDER of Elijah McClain. Elijah was a 23 year old black man living in Aurora, CO and was stopped by police after there was a call that reported him as "suspicious." Instead if simply talking to Elijah, they threaten, attack and ultimately kill Elijah. FUN FACT - This is the same police department that protected James Holmes, who was a white man that shot and killed 12 innocent people during a showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" Hmmm, black "suspicious man" gets murdered and a white mass murderer gets water and a bullet proof vest ?? That makes sense right? Jesse also goes over the unsolved murderer known as "The Oakland County Child Killer" This monster, or monsters, murdered at least 2 little boys and 2 little girls during 1976 and 1977. During this time, a troubled teen boys camp was also exposed as a pedophiles paradise. Children were being prostituted, molested and photographed and abusers were making MILLIONS! We jump between these two stories and discuss many conspiracies and suspects. The case is still open, but police are not forthcoming with any information to the public or the victims families. The future of Aurora, as protests loom for anniversary of Elijah McClain's death
Callers flood the lines to discuss reluctance of law enforcement to protect city buildings and government property, for which taxpayers foot the bill when anarchists destroy them. Is Aurora mayor Mike Coffman doing enough to protect his city and maintain an atmosphere of respect for law and order? What can the average citizen do to protect themselves and their homes?
