During his tenure for the State of NJ Fire Department, he was decorated for his outstanding accomplishments in the line of duty. He heroically assisted in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and received numerous awards, honors, and accolades for his service, hard work, and dedication. After fighting fires for 25 years, he retired in 2014. Tyrone was instrumental in training thousands of firefighter candidates throughout the State of New Jersey to help them pass the Physical Performance Section of the Firefighter Exam. Tyrone returned to public service three years later when the City of Newark, New Jersey Police Department contacted him to work in their Property room which is responsible for keeping weapons and drugs off the city’s streets.
